Denver is winning, but I wonder how long the Broncos can go with that style of play.

Remember Mike Vick in his first few seasons? The he got injured and after that the was not the same. If Tebow learns that running in this league reduces his playing career, he won't do that as often as now and then Broncos will loose and the he is gone .... Oh ... wait a minute ... then it doesn't matter if he runs or not .... the only difference is being healthy in retirement or not. |

It's not all Tebow and the style of play they established for him... It's his persona. His charisma. I think they win, because the rest of the team plays better just because they think they can win with him. And I purposely write "think" and not "believe"...

Yes, I think Tebow's leadership skills help him immensely. However, at some point teams will take away his running lanes and force him to pass. How effective a QB he can be will dependent on how well he can pass the ball in these situations.
This week he beat the Chargers in OT. He ran for 60 yards, but only a 3.0 ypc average - - so he hardly was killing them on the ground. He did manage ~150 passing yards and completed roughly 50% of his passes which was enough to beat San Diego in OT with a bunch of FGs and a SD FG miss. Ultimately though, Denver isn't winning games just because of Tebow. There defense has been stellar. If their defense was giving up 30 points, I think Tebow and the offense would have a tough him matching it. Steve SD Blitz |
