If you are looking for one defensive lineman on the transfer market (later when there are more players to choose) or draft board is there any reason to take a one and a half star rating over a two star? Thanks for your replies!

There is only one right answer imo: this depends on your plans. I would look for 3 star at least, but this is my opinion. Others might spend more money on defense or scorers

Thanks for your replies! Look at the manual: Play skill caps A player has caps on each of the play skills based on talent. The following table shows you the maximum possible skill at the different talent levels: Talent (stars) Skill capped at 0.5 36.5 1.0 38 1.5 39.5 2.0 41.0 2.5 42.5 3.0 44.0 3.5 45.5 4.0 47.0 4.5 48.5 5.0 50 There are random caps for speed, strength and agility, pls refer to Glossary / Skill description and Training for more details. It is now clear? Kottan Edit ohh, Admin is the faster guy, sorry Last edited on 2011-10-13 18:38:44 by Kottan |

But this is bad because 50% of player will be then "bad" And if not distribution of talent on same proportion than possible even more are crap. I have problem with manual on this point but did not want to start with - but now: Talent determines how good a player can be when reaching the top of his career. The Play skill caps are calculated based on Talent too. The first sentence to me sounds like "higher talent can be better" besides the play skill caps - because the 2nd sentence ends with "too" So "too" what - is there other benefit for higher talent than possible to train skill higher? |
