You have already a percentage value for the player by position. After that, I think only of age and potential. Strenght of others teams does not matter when you exchange a player against another.

Your team has a rush, passing... value. So I'm assuming that each player has a value for an overall of the team

That is the player rating, based on skills. the bars represent the average of involved position groups per type...

So each player has is rating... I don't know, keep his best position rating and add age and potentail value to have an estimation!

I think all we need to make clear: such an estimation can't be exact, in no way! By knowing this: makes it sense to add it?

I know it isn't completely accurate, but I'm just looking for a way to help reviewers and deal makers to avoid newbies to lose on it

I think a evaluation would be nice.

Yes it can't be exact, but I think it can calculate a number/value and if you set a minimum like some % under it, it should be OK.

I would not set a maximum, since it would destroy such trade decribed 2 WR for a MLB.

It would also destroy trading a fading but still active player for high potential youth/young player.

Just a couple of questions and ideas:

1. We may be opening a big can of worms here. Fairness is really a very subjective thing. I have been involved in fantasy football leagues where trading is allowed, and I have witnessed how some managers really get into heated arguments about how unfair a trade is while others think the same trade is fair. This has resulted in some managers quitting leagues.
I can see it coming that if a trade is vetoed, at least one of the managers involved in that trade is going to criticize every trade that is not vetoed. And then ask 1000 times why his trade got vetoed.

2. If a review board is set up, would the managers, who are part of the review board, also be allowed to make trades? Does anyone see a problem with that if they were allowed to do so?

3. In order to lower the potential for multiple cheat attempts would it maybe be a good idea to limit the number of trades a team could participate in each season? If so, how many would be OK, 2, 3 or more?
Or is this just a silly idea?

The idea of trading is very nice, but this may be like a bomb in our game: people do strange things to win, in a free game too.
