What's the advantage of allowing trading? I mean, if two teams really want to trade, couldn't they essentially put the perspective players on the TL and swap me (and if it was really a fair deal the market place would validate it?).

It could be that the owners don't have the cash to do that but want to trade players instead?

Maybe it is a combined trade...your "QB and LB for my RB and WR"...or maybe the traders want to make sure no other team could overbid, this could be good especially for smaller teams...

For example.
Team A have to many good HB and needs good LB.
Team B have to many good LB and needs good HB.
They are make a trade HB = LB

If they put then into TL both players can be sold into another teams.

I think Trading Players should be a Part of this Game as it is in Real life.

To solve the Problem of Multiple Acc or other "Cheating" there should be:

A, a trading Deadline (not to mention that anybody would think of trading players in front of big games...)

B, There should be maximum number of Trades in a Season (e.g. 5)

I also think there should be no board of trading, if I think one player is worth 3 Players it´s my problem to give away my guys, look what Herrschel Walker gets the Cowboys and what the Vikes was given given from him

There where great times in the NFL whithout all this freeagent stuff, but if there a no finanzial talks in the offseason, what are we all just wana talk about if there is no freeagency, just the Draft

I hesitate to even reply, but couldn't help myself...

I've played in my share of team management games and the trade thing has always come up and I have always voted NO, which I will again do here... Just like the transfer market, it simply to easy to abuse, and I won't participate in any trades, doesn't matter who for what or what for who... I won't be a part...

These are my thoughts (since it is most likely to be implemented anyway as it most always is)

1. I most like of the suggestions (a Trade Block - posted by Lee1950) whereby I list the player I would like to trade, and what I'm looking for in return... This ensures that if multiple parties have an interest, all have an opportunity to bid for the guy...

2. I'd rather you assign a League Commissioner with trade approval... Yes, a single person... And oh by the way, he cannot be commissioner in the same league where his team resides, meaning a guy with a team in Admirals cannot be commish in any Admirals leagues...
This commissioner would have to have a "Trade Evaluation Tool" (posted by NYDogs), and his only task is to put the guys in the tool, if it passes the sanity check, he approves, if it's Gold for Manure, he rejects... These evaluations (for approved trades) must then be made available to the populace, for transparency and sanity...

My reason for making this a single person and not within his own league... If Dresden Sheeps participated in a trade... You can bet your sweet happy arse, I'm not approving any deal that improves that team... Same thing will occur where another team dominates... You'll not get many guys approving a trade to improve a team already considered to be a powerhouse, no matter how innocent the deal...

3. Trade deadline is a must... This eliminates trades directed at loading my team for the playoffs if my buddy is already out...

4. I still vote NO...!!!

Maybe we could create a XX weeks trade window at the beginning/end of season, only period during a year when trades are allowed, otherwise go to transfer market... It would be closer to reality.

That was part of the plan, already. Trades only until week 16, 2 weeks before the playoff starts

It's a bit too late I think. I would reduce it by half. In NFL it's open until 6th week of regular season. Maybe it could begin the week after the Superbowl until week 6 of following season.
