Well fortune smile upon me today and was able to do the complete load up for our league... This is going to be some kind of lengthy to get all leagues loaded...
Let me start by saying, I tried to accomodate the request to account for bots, but for my first try, what will be shown makes some sense... Firstly, I wanted to keep it simple and used only the following in the formula... Winning % - 30% MOV (Margin of Victory) - 10% SOS (Strength of Schedule) - 60% I'll take your arguments for more or less additions as far as adding attributes or changing the values, but this negates some of the bogus runaway scores somewhat, but at the same time elevates some of the bots just a little... Go figure some of the heavyweights have already trounced them, so they get big points for SOS... It will levelize throughout the course of the season I'm sure... That's amazing! Great work.
I hope you will do this regularly, at least for our division. Personally, I can relate to rank 20. That's where I see myself. Besides, my own top 10 would look quite similar to the one you put up. Is this based entirely on league games? |

Don't get any funny ideas about how or why the formulas are the way they are... I've asked bob (onwer and proprietary owner of Football Rankulator), and he ain't telling, some proprietary thing or something... Nobody wants to give up their inside scoop... Just must easier to use someone else's knowledge than my own, since at 50+ it's limited... Can't we all just be one happy family or what... OH yes... only on league games...!!! Way too much input for other games... although, it's an idea to start to add other game schedules when I get all the other leagues loaded... Remember, we're talking about 32 teams per league and adding 2.1 and 2.2 for Admirals, Claymore, Dragons, Fire, Galaxy, Monarchs, Sea Devils, and Thunder is going to take me some serious time... Is this based entirely on league games? In case I forgot to mention it... Your asterisks are reeking havoc on all scoring sytems... Somehow, none of them recognize any goofy stuff as characters... It's simple to remove, so no big deal... Also, just based on the sytem as set up... Looks like the Blitzkreig will be one to recon with before it's all over... Just my opinion... As always things are likely to change as guys add pieces to improve their team... |

But he is bot meanwhile, and I don't have private contact data from him. Damn. If you ever go for the other games, please make sure to skip friendlies. It would screw the results if you add them, and you would have to add a weight because some play payed friendlies, others don't. Same is valid for Friendly Cup games... Btw: rank 5....nice! |

The goofy program only recognizes a .fbd filename, and it's got to be in the right format or it's all manual load... No word from Bob (owner of the Rankulator) yet as to whether he's going to give me up a format sheet to use... Not likely again, but I've asked... |
