Can you please tell me why the engine picked my 3rd or 4th string guys to make plays when my 1st are sitting on the bench?

Have you gone back and checked to see what your game settings were?

No, the last simulation run for the 21pm kickoff kickoff was half an hour before the server died. No influence here.

What are your substitution settings?

i remember i took my subs settings off. but i thought the engine uses in order of preference considering the depth chart. why should the engine use a 4th string guy when 3 are in front of im and no chance of injury or played them elsewhere...my famous RB was not used and he was starting..even though i removed the settings, shouldnt the engine use him anyway being first on the depth chart?

Maybe his PC was "worse"? The engine tries always to pick from top to bottom of the DC. But of the is above the energy threshold, while #1 is below, it will use #2. This avoids exhaustion of your team, and is "newbee friendly". If you want to avoid this, use the substitution block settings available in the match settings.
