I started looking at draftees to better determine how to build my players.

1. I guess they all come with crappy Footwork.

2. Seems like Positioning is mostly for offensive players and Vision is mostly for defensive players (regardless of whether they are a DL, LB, DB etc.). Not sure about QBs…I should think they need Vision and probably not Positioning.

3. I was surprise that some positions didn’t seem to score highly in Agility - - for example DBs. Does that mean they don’t need Agility?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I wouldn't look at the draft prospects as being the finished articles. If each DB for example had 40+ speed, 25+ catching, tackling, agility, vision and positioning they'd be supermen. It's also possible that the processing of players will change in future. Pete has designed the game to be like american football so if footwork for example is important in real life, chances are it'll be important here too

Agree!

I'd wait a season or two and then scout Admin and a few others (Buffalo, for instance?) for ideas on max build strategy.

Yeah...I agree that draftee aren't finished products. But most players seem to have some skills in the area that they need. So wouldn't DBs then have Agility if they need it?

That's been my assumption....but I remember having it explained to me in basic training that "assume makes an Ass out of U and Me".

it looks like drafts have a good base on the needed skills for their position but have the odd untrained one like agi or someother. as said not the full potential but in the right direction.

Dont forget regarding Footwork is not represented in current Draftees correctly

When remember correct there was a short note that Jack pointed to this "misbalance" and Admins stated that because Footwork was implemented later it will be more "present" in next draftees
