yay another great draft year
Draft goals for this year: Get one decent OL to replace retired starter Improve my defense Backfield Get a TE or WR to improve passing game Expectation: ending up with 1 better and one mediocre DB plus what special teamer or low rated crap player the Cat drags in at pick 96 Goal Completion 3/3 100% picking as no 30 in 2.1 i still managed to get my #6 (Best DB in Draftclass) and #8 (third best OL )picks. and finally picking as number 94 in 4rd round still picked one lower rated WR who might be slow but is still strong enough to be my number 2 or 3 WR

pretty happy.
Kuti was 6 on my board. Intelligence, speed and a trait. Pleased with him as pick 36. Then Wenlock, a 50 speed DB. 21 on my board and pick 64 so can't complain at all. Then a FB. 91 on my board but think I can salvage him as a usable OL. With pick 96 could be worse. Signed a draft calibre player yesterday as well so like having 4 picks. |

I AM BACK! Prepare for another bowl run from the Icebirds! anyway, 1.1 sucked but I had the second overall pick and got a killer corner (there were only two). Second round i when for a WR and got the one I wanted. 3rd round I needed a OLmen so I got one as well. Best draft I've had ever. GLAD TO BE BACK HOME IN 2.1 WHERE I BELONG!

couldnt have asked for much more I would have gone TE. 2 seasons ago I got a TE and it was the best move I ever made. |

So did everyone have Veena at 1 ?
I had the two DL at two and three and had thouht I may have a minor outside chance at getting them. Not sure how Coyotes failed to get more than 1 of his top 30. What was wrong with Lovelock ? OK he's aged 22 but there is no guarantee you will play another 10 seasons anyway and 50 speed, 44/42 Int/TW is a nice combo. Top 30 surely ? There was some pretty unappealing dudes at the bottom of my top 30. |

I have an excel formula I use - the board gets shifted a bit but its a start.
Veena had a massive grade - by far the highest in the class and a lot better than anyone the year before or in this years' Div 1 draft. Knew I couldn't get him but you never know everyone else could have messed up their board so stuck him at 1 anyway. If trades were allowed, I'd have tried to trade up for him. Khalil was about 5 on my board I think. |

Yoyos season 8 draft board done.
Ill start by telling what i think of this years class, then you guys answer (without revieling any details of course), and before long we are chatting away... Ive been using the same formula for some drafts now, and according to it, the quality of the classes dont change much. The formula includes positions of need and due to this, the average of this years class is down roughly 10 points. the tops former draftboards were often dominated by one position, where as this years top is very mixed positionwise. A lot of defenders in the top though. My bottom is as always full of old guys and punters. |
