Game of the Season

ROQUEOLSEN 14 : 13 Tribal Hydra
Alphaville 13 : 10 Verburch5

All entertaining games if we are using playoff games my matchup with the blackoils was right up there not for pure entertainment but for the thrilling game and finale it turned out to be. Personally Id have preferred a damp squib of a 7-6 myself

Most jaw dropping result of the Season

Shard End Sharks 62 : 3 Vitoria Patriots

totally shocked me especially as I had used my MOTY in my first matchup with MisLinces

The Burton Redskins are going thru their final drills in advance of tonights Conference Championship game at the much fancied and vaunted Strasbourg Blues.

MTS1972 jetted his players over the channel to Strasbourg after being heard to say 'i aint sending my boys by coach like that two bob bit cheapskate Brummie would' - the players enjoyed a 'free' night last night in their 6 star hotel though they were all under strict orders to 'avoid any frogs legs, snails or anything else that could easily give you the squirts, especially as those garlic munchers are cheating gits at the best of times so are very likely to poison our food' - so most just enjoyed chicken and pasta dishes that were prepared in front of an MTS1972 appointed ENGLISH chef......

The Redskins, despite being overwhelming underdogs, seem full of confidence and positivity - star Linebacker Panagiotis Gerou had this to say :

"We know what the Blues can do and they are a fine side. But we have nothing to lose and have a few surprises lined up for them. I like what our Defensive Coordinator has had us working on - they better have a Plan B cause Plan A will soon be leaving the stadium"

The Redskins hulk-like #1 Running Back, Jamali Congo, who stomped all over the Buffalos in the Divisional Playoff game, also seemed to be in a rush (pun intended) to get the game started :

" Just me get the ball. I run over dem like elephant. Dey cant stop me. I run all day like when i got water from pothole when i was in village. Now i big and strong and play for Redskins. We win dis game!"

Much has been made of Burton's shocking Field Goal conversion rate this season - one made even worse by 5 misses from 5 against Watertown by their new 'star' kicker Jonathan Etheridge about whom MTS1972 was heard to say this 'oh my BLEEPING god i should have let those spick hombres have the useless BLEEPING BLEEP what a BLEEP i look. 600k for that gammy legged BLEEP? Wheres that scout - get him here now and find me a blank P45"

Etheridge seems unfazed "It was just first night nerves - i'll be 100% tonight - trust me"

The Skins are just coming off the field now - they will now all have a dip in the pool. followed by a massage session - a few hours rest and then a final playbook review before they start to pull on their pads and burgundy shirts and taking to the field.

Good luck guys and do Burton proud!!

Another last minute TD from the BlackOils this time it was not enough to secure victory as the Ravens produced a fine display to reduce the BlackOils to a single FG before that.

Over in France a spirited display from the Burton Redskins saw them forge an early lead before the DC told and the succumbed to the pressure of the Blues.

Congratulations to the winners and good luck in the promotion playoffs to the losers.

yep....proud of my Redskins but in the end was a step too far and the better team won.

Turning point was towards the end of the 3rd period...Blues up 13-7 but Redskins mount a 60 yard drive only to miss the FG attempt...2 stuffed runs later and its 3rd and long....and they bomb a long TD pass in and instead of it being 13-10 and game on, its 20-7 and game over.

Congrats to the mov ravens in beating the Blackoils - should be a fine bowl game between the two.

Now, i gotta work out whether i wanna win this relegation game or not....is it income earning for a start?

I presume you pick up about 8 million but I am not sure ask either the blues or blackOils they played them last season.

In most games in the playoffs there have been little game changers like that. But thats what keeps us logging on each week

Speedbumps won the superbowl last season. It says a lot about the level in 1.1 that he's coming back for relegation.

Next season all leagues below 1.1 will have the incomes reduced, so it might best if you tried to advance.

I thought the Pitbulls beat them in the bowl? Doesn't matter as the Pitbulls are straight down without the playoff. The Kinaportlen Flyers also went up and they are in the relegation playoff for 2.1. Such a tough league 1.1 is but like you said the financial implications could be big. I have done my budget for next season and with only 85% income and a 10% increase in salaries I will be ok.

If anyone wants my template with the formulae let me know all you need to do is add in your own costs and stadium size
