Yes it will be. First of all why you need 5 TE's? 😀 . I currently have 6 TE's 2 have been on my team for awhile. Once they reached 27 I started training 3 in my YA. One TE wanted to retire but decided to stay. My vets are 31 now and at the very least will be on my squad next season. To top if off I had a drafted 3 rounder this past season. He will be sold or cut at seasons end. However Bill Bellechiek never underestimated the value of special teams. So I'm hoping my 6 (5 come next season) could help produce some long kickoff returns |

So is that penalty for playing out of position severe, or somewhat minor? Only Pete knows the severity. In addition, I believe a player playing out of position gets less EXP. I don't see any value in playing OOP. If you want to train the player faster, go ahead, but I wouldn't use that player in a game outside of special teams Last edited on 2021-06-27 13:03:13 by prchaser |

there is only one reason to play OOP: on tight rosters, for short period replacements of injured players. I found no single reason other than that

As long as you do not care about your league results, like the tanking penalty, and want to kill your reputation: yes, of course.

If I have room in my youth academy, can I take a 19 yo player from my senior team and place him in the youth academy? This player I acquired about a month ago from the weekly youth pull. At that time I had no room for him in my youth academy, so he just went to my senior team. Thanks.

Also, is the Fearsome trait wasted on a Safety? I read in the manual that it is applicable for DL, LB or SF...but I've also read that Safety's don't blitz. What gives?

You can blitz a safety if you want, but the sack rate is really awful compared to blitzing a LB and it leaves you vulnerable to a deep TD pass. I've noticed some managers do blitz the safety during a known rushing play because (I think) there's a belief that a blitzing player is more likely to cause a fumble. But, yeah, I think the fearsome trait is kind of wasted on a safety
Can't demote any player to YA |

Can a short yardage "Pass" play call result in a long yardage gain? For instance, could my QB complete a 25 yard "Pass" play? One that wasn't designated as a "Medium" pass play or "Long" pass play? Thanks.

Thanks. Yes. This does not mean "pass short," he simply looks for an open receiver. In "pass medium" and "deep" he'll only consider passes of those distances, which raises the likelihood of an INT. "Pass" generally (not always) goes for 1st down distance, but can go for more depending on the matchups. Oil up! I think that's our new battle cry. OIL UP! |
