1.1 game of the week:
3 strong choices to choose from this week... do I go with Fenton City vs Fajny for a rematch of old rivals? Will Fenton City rise up to the occasion? or Malakas vs Zaragoza, the battle of Spaniards in a ongoing divisional battle? or Majalorca vs Sweaty Bulls, the returning champ vs the best team to not make the playoffs in Dragons 1.1 last season? I'm going with .Malakas vs Zaragoza This will be a good test to see where Zaragoza stands in this league. After starting off to a sizzling 6-1 start last season Zaragoza limped to a pedestrian 8-8 record. In fact Zaragoza had beaten Mystic who finished 15-1 for the season by a score of 28-9 and beat Malakas 24-3 in this time span. What happened? Malakas seemed to be looking at second place in the division last year when they started out 4-3, 2 games behind Zaragoza. Malakas then proceeded to not lose another game until the playoffs. This is a game of a passing team in Zaragoza vs a running team of Malakas. Both teams strengthened their strengths in the draft when Malakas drafted two OL and a TE while Zaragoza drafted a QB and 2 lb. The running games are still dominating overall. I'm leaning towards Malakas by a margin of 14 points. Now to 2.1 Several excellent choices here including Godger Dragons vs Dome Babbies, Nightmare vs Vick in a Box, Saints vs the Luddites, and Heat vs redcoats. I'm interested in seeing .Nightmare vs Vick in a Box They are 1-1 vs each other in league history. Don't have much to say as I'm not as familiar with 2.1 and 2.2. I'm going to out on a limb and say Vick in a box wins this by a margin of 12. 2.2 Red Black Warriors vs Bloks Why am I interested in this game? There are several others I would presume more interesting or balanced, but I want to see how a team Bloks has a 2-1 record vs Red Black Warriors. RBW have a 7% advantage in ratings as of now. RBW by 10 in a close game.... |

Ok, here is the deal. I would like everyone, no matter the league to participate in picking of the games each week if possible. For each of the matchups I listed above there is a point spread I made. If you are unsure of how point spreads work then please ask.
This week's games won't count to your season standings for this contest as there is a very short notice before the game. For the next weeks games I would like you to pick the game winner for each. I will add the specifics into the stickied thread above... |

So if I'm reading this correctly, it's too late to make predictions for the week 2 games right? Since 00:00 server time was many hours ago, and the games are today.

I started this too late for a week 2. I just picked the games myself this week.
Next week's games I will post (tonight) possible games of the week from each league and have you, the managers, vote on what the game of the week should be is. You have until 0:00 server time on game day to vote. Then right after 0:00 server time I will post my write up along with a point spread. You have until game time to make your picks. |

I would have went with Godgers vs Dome Babbies for 2.1.
And it was a good one...until Dome Babbies ran away with it in the 4th. |
