My math might be a bit off, but I think it takes about 500,000 snaps to gain a half point of EXP.

I don't believe the EXP scale is linear, I'm 95% sure it's decreasing gains - similar to how coach XP works. (each progressive half star becoming more difficult, as you move towards 5* experience.) Also, 500k snaps is more than a player's lifespan.

Just for example, grabbing 3 of my players at random:
3* -> 5* ... ~15,000 snaps = 3,750 snaps per half star.
1.5 -> 4* ... ~17,000 snaps = 3,400 snaps per half star.
1* -> 2* ... ~2,500 snaps = 1,250 snaps per half star.

If i promote him to my senior squad he might do around 20 plays per game. Will he earn more xp if he stays in my YA ?

The YA experience gain from the top level academy seems at least on par, if not stronger than force starting them for a large # of snaps (meaning 80+ per game), with the added bonus of not requiring PC training to keep them going. Definitely better off in the YA, than getting 20 per.

Just so you know. Why i don not know the exact number of snaps it take to gain a half a star .
It between 2500 and 3000 snaps League and super cup snaps Form the numbers I have.

But this number is still a guess at this point. Got to for few more player to gain few more levels before I know for sure.

I was going to rewrite this with the premium YA as a factor but wanted to clarify that it is 8 to 12 more points per update. The whole experience gaining and its impact is still beyond me so I won't include it in the new write up. Perhaps I can get Pete to unpin this outdated one when I write a new one?

I would also either copy and paste or direct link to posts in this thread that have great information.

It normally took me about 2500-3000 snaps for my QB to gain .5 star, but he's been stuck on 4.5 stars for about 3500 snaps now.

Sorry, no games, just 'virtual' by adding slowly EXP to the players.
So no HC, no ACs specific for YA.

Regarding points it's easy, the Premium YA does add another level, which gives you in the YA-Points-Formular a small boost.

You find the formular under 'Coaches' in the manual.

"Coaches affect the Training Points in the Youth academy

Your HC gives you a bonus on the Training points you could spread among your youngsters.

trainingpoints=( ( youthacademy level + 1 ) * 5 ) + (HC CP / 2)

No HC translates as HC CP = 0!"

The bold part is the part where the premium does add one more level.
Please be aware that this result then is getting the AC-bonus of *1,1 for each AC you have.
