The impolite version is that I'm a dull muppet who overstretched himself towards season end and didn't do the basic maths. But yes, it was transfer spending. A particularly terrible move given that we're heading into the new season, and my team morale is stuffed for the first game. . . which - joy of joys - is against Furpach. So, I'll spend the year playing for a Wildcard place, having stuffed the whole thing at the end of last year.  |

Nothing could be further from the truth
Well, I have the time available this weekend, and since we have a new season, new teams and a new game engine I figured it was my best ever shot to go 0-16 on my game predictions for week 1 in Sea Devils 1.1 S6. So, without further ado, here we go: Alp Devils vs. Podsabotin Charrs First up we have new kids on the block vs. the Charrs. The Charrs won their division with a 5-11 record last year, whereas the Devils won a Conference title in 2.1. . . I'm going new kids on the block on this one - a surprise win for the newcomers. Arizona Cardinals vs. Firenze Fappers Game 2 won't follow the same pattern though - the Fappers are bidding for second place in their division this year and will have learned from last year's experience - super-smashing-Faptastic - a win for the Faps. Aston Rovers vs. Paradise Regained Aston had a better record last year, and better passing (considering the new engine), in a tougher division - so this one is going the way of the Rovers. Brisbane Meteors vs. Nova Gorica Warriors Warriors to go Supernova over the Meteors in this one. Cannon Fodder vs. Kaunas Hurricane Bot Fodder to give Kaunas an early season win. Hangdong Bulls vs. Monster Piskots Piskots to post a Monster win over the newcomer Bulls Hurricanes vs. Leeds Celtics A 14-2 record last year Leeds me (see what I did there?) to conclude the Celtics will win London Silk vs. SV Furpach The 'pach are Conference Champions, and my Silk had their morale stuffed due to the owner being a dimwit at the end of the last season on finances - the Champs will win their home opener Lucea Cardinals vs. Plymouth Admirals Cards were unbeaten last year, and Buffalo is a master of the game. It would be easy to pick the Cards to win this one, so I'm going to make it difficult for myself - Cards to win - and to shut out the Admirals totally Naprzód Marsz! vs. Hameln Rats Unless the Pied Piper turns up, Marsz! will march into week two on a 1-0 record Nitro Shock vs. Invictus Invictus - a good film about South African Rugby World Cup Glory - a new team that will lose to Nitro in week one (no Shock defeat here!) Nova Gorica Gamblers vs. Devon Warriors Neither team worried much about passing last year - this year with the Gamblers great run D, the Warriors will have to pass - and I'm Gambling that means Nova Gorica will win Raiders Tirol vs. RG III RGIII won their 2.1 bowl last year, and will start in 1.1 with a win vs. the Raiders Solihull Moors vs. Stonefield Rocks The Cheerleaders get their Rocks Off, and Solihull's away fans ask for Moor, and more they get - more points that is Venice Panthers vs. L.A. All-Stars The All-Stars are new here, but losing this one will start to make 1.1 lose its shine real fast - Panthers to breeze by Wesley Crushers vs. Konjarnik HighTowers Ohh, based on last year you'd go Towers, but the Crushers have played a bit more of a positive passing game over the last year, and the new engine might just suit them Wesley to win - just. |

So even tho my team is better on paper not 100% confident... Taking a bit of a risk offensively and made a few changes to my D after the draft - hoping the new engine is kind to me! |

This season will be real fun and I think no team will play a perfect season. |
