Eg buying a 29 year old star player might give me the push to go up but by the time we are competing he wont be around so I'm not interested and would rather have a lesser 20 year old who will. Another example I don't think I touched PC for the first season or so - training physicals to determine position was long term more helpful. I know that goes a bit against my draft policy but the 22 year olds I drafted will be here for at least another 8 seasons or so and I'm hoping we'll be competing then. Going up would be good but priority is long term. |

I think you´d struggle to avoid relegation in 1.1 (as would I), but the draft picks could be better up there, as we would be picking early.
The raiders lost to the Wretched. I think it could come down to the managers activity level, game setting and playbooks. But i think you have a chance. |

Merry christmas (or whatever you celebrate this time of year) to all.
I lost to the kings last night and dropped out of the home field advantage spot. Havent yet analyzed the game, but my boys were tired after the MOTY game against the Raiders. We now have 6 teams ready for the PO, congrats to all, and good luck to the rest trying to get in. Looks like it could be an interesting couple of rounds. I would have done a power ranking but dont have the time. Happy Holidays. |

@CarpeDM: no such luck.
So, lets take a look at the playoff picture. Only one spot open in the AC, and for it not to go to the Raiders, the Coyotes need to beat Lostregos with 26 points more than the raiders beat a bot team. Close but no cigar this time for the coyotes. In the NC the south will go to the winner of Kazimierz @ lunatics with the looser out in the cold. THe second wildcard spot is between Hawkeyes and the Curtain. Both teams have tough divisional games in their final reg. season games. If the hawkeyes beat the vipers they are in, but if they lose and the curtain beat the icebirds they are out. Ill check back with wildcard-round predictions when those matches are set (feel free to post your own predictions). |

After spending most of the season in 1st place, i have now dropped to 3rd, and wont get a bye for the wildcard round.
Here i face my division rivals the Raiders, whom i have beaten twice this season. I have homefield advantage and must be favourites, but not by much, and i will not take the opponent lightly. The other AC wildcard game is Eagles @ the Wrethed. Ill give the wretched a slight advantage in this one, they have homefield and could be facing a default setting team. The eagles seem to have a better roster though. In the NC Hawkeyes travel to Ottendorf to face the Patriots. Again the home team are my favourites, but looks to be a close match. Icebirds @ Lunatics looks to be impossible to call. There are always 1 away team that wins so for that reason alone ill give this one to the Icebirds. If i go 4 for 4 here The Wretched will travel to Spain to face Lostregos, and we will travel to England to face the Hamsters. The Icebirds will go to Arizona to meet the Vipers and finally the german Patriots will meet the danish Kings. |
