Some time ago there was even a discussion about the "Game of the Week".
I have now made some thoughts on how one might realize that. I'm using Excel to calculate the current Galaxy 1.1 league/rankings. Now I don´t know how that is calculated in the NFL, but I think my calculation may not be totally wrong. How do I calculate it? With the simple formula: game point = ((a + h) ² - (a - h) ²)*BF*RF; with a = WIN-Away Team and h = WIN-Home Team; BF (BOT Factor) = IF ((Away Team OR Home Team) IS BOT); THEN 0.5 ; ELSE 1.0 ; RF (RIVAL Factor) = IF((Away Team AND Home Team) in the same Division); THEN 1.5 ; ELSE 1.0 As a tiebreaker I will use the sum of the respective PD. With this I get after calculating the ranking of the games for the upcoming week. And now I can the "Game of the Week" post here for every game day. Should you have any suggestions or improvements so far, then I ask you to tell me this. I hope your able to understand my bad english. Sorry! Thanks in advance! Top idea. Great contribution, Kottan!
How about you do not only announce the Game of the Week, but also write down a little breakdown, preview and predicted game score? |

But, I can only report what I know well. This means that if someone has interesting news to his team, I would be happy if he can send me this via PM. This I can build in on occasion in the reports. Also I am very grateful about any feedback. Thank you! For next Saturday just my GOTW machine was determined following Match: Rüsselsheim Razorbacks vs. San Diego Hurricanes The Razorbacks are only in the second season in the Top League. Last year they won their division even as promoted team. Currently they have the fourth-best Passoffense in the league. Unfortunately, their new signing Mikal Markussen is currently injured (spinal fracture). Their opponent, the San Diego Charchers will naturally hold as the current champion against. And they will also, they have currently the best pass defense in the league. And what was left? Ah yes, the predicted game score. For that I bought from an old witch an old crystal ball and now I'm going to use the ball for the first time. Ohh dust completely. First clean, because I can't see anything. Then: tzzzzzzzzz tzzzzzzzzzzz tzzzzzzzzzzzz It tells me: Hurricanes will win with 24 points. I'm curious if that is right. Bye Kottan |

Nice work Kottan. That should be a good game.
I also think the Sheeps vs. Texans should be an interesting and close game between two very good teams. But then I always like to keep an eye on those pesky Sheeps with their dangerous umbrellas. (And I have a feeling the Hippos will have a very tough time against the Foxes in our first ever league match-up. We have played some friendlies and the Foxes won the last time we faced each other.) |

You're right, bellj. Next week there are many interesting games on the game plan. The decision was very close. Even the games: Blues at Poor Boys and Turtles at Vikingarnier are important. With this diversity, I have to decide for a single game. But I will write down the teams that have been nominated. And thus, I think, your team will also compete in a future GOTW. Like all the other teams. I want to be as fair and neutral. I promise. |

Canes vs Warthogs!!
Surely a great game. I would naturally pick Canes, too, but Hogs are getting better and better. At the moment they are rampaging through Pete's Big & Powerful Challenge (all equal) Cup. Over the next few seasons I'm pretty sure the Swines will grow into a steady contender. |

This week we had a lot of games. My GOTW machine had selected the game Razorbacks at Hurricanes. And I think the choice was fine. The Razorbacks have won only in the OT with a field goal.
This week we have three games that could be all GOTW. But there can only be one GOTW game. And this time it is: Cameroon Turtles at * Pawn * Stars * The Turtles play with their strong rush offense. It is the fourth best in the league. They have RB Aldolf Stormo with a total of 811 rushyards. The Pawn Stars pass defense is currently the best in the league. Their best defensive players are LB Yod Anand (10 interceptions this season) and DL Stokan Dokic (5 QB sacks so far). Last week the ball did not convince. Let's see if it is better on the second attempt. What she is telling us today? Turtles win with 7 points. See you next week. |

I would say the Turtles have a small disadvantage versus the Stars and therefore the Turtles will lose. And finally, the Stars play at home...
But it will be a close game if both owners make it to bring their #1 guys on the field. |
