Nice one, Pete (do you remember my old post on the forum?)!
What's about the game engine used in the scrimmages? |

I played a scrimmage, one thing that I found slightly puzzling :-
My Punter (and his identical twin ) had average punt distances that were noticeably different, I thought that was the one position where things would be very similar. Any ideas ? |

2.0 or 2.2.1? 2.2.1 is imho unuseful, the scrimmages are a good way to test playbooks, but only with the same game engine used in official games... |

It makes no sense for me to use the old engine...managers try to adapt their tactics for the future, not for now - IMO

I'd just like to add that although there is the issue of paying for this privilege, like the game and supporter fee itself, that is insignificant alongside the time commitment made by many. (Think of this in terms of the average manager here having a real life pay rate of $25/hr).
I think most people don't mind a bit of short term time investment resulting in getting their procedures/tactics sorted, which in turn results in only needing to log in on Wednesdays and Sundays (15-30 minutes each) to set up for the upcoming matches and make post training adjustments. These scrimmages, especially with an ever evolving engine, will possibly give an edge to those willing to invest the time that many aren't. |
