Congrats good win ... Lostegos are a puzzling team.

Should be a good final - ratings say we have the edge other than ST but we'll see what happens.

Loser gets a play-off with a D1 for promotion I think and winner goes straight up.

whoa......sober again and still won that game....^^

Seriously mike? so even if i loose the divisional final ( making me the third or fourth team in our league final ranking) i get a relegation chance?

Looking forward to our game anyways...
but to be honest i dont expect much as your playcalling is one that doesnt suit me and my personell too well (same as Motol Ducks btw)

so i expect hamsters and ducks fighting for the title (btw very impressive win over the Patriots Mr Pumpkin....)

think so ...

I was in the pub in chester and checked my score when my mate was at the bar otherwise I'd have been the same - coming in at 3am to see the score. Anyways from manual.

Relegation
Relegation means that the lowest place teams in one league move down into a lower league in the same region. They are replaced in the higher league by the best placed teams in the lower leagues. In addition, the next to lowest placed teams in the higher league often have to play a playoff game against the next-best teams in the lower leagues to see which of these teams gets to play in the higher league next season. These playoff games are called relegation games.

The teams placed at #25, 26, 27 and 28 have to play against the Conference Championship Match Losers from the two leagues below in the region. The higher league Teams have Home advantage. The winners of those matches will play in the higher League level next season, while the losers of those matches will play in the lower League level. The matchups are random.

The two Super Bowl participants of the lower leagues will promote directly to the next League level, and the places #29, 30, 31 and 32 will relegate directly. The way those teams go down are random. The way up is fixed; example of a region with 3 league levels:

promoting teams from League level 3.1 and 3.2 enter League level 2.1
promoting teams from League level 3.3 and 3.4 enter League level 2.2

On Promotion or Relegation the region is kept stable, you can't promote/relegate from "Fire" to "Galaxy", for example. There is no way to stay inside the division you have chosen when you started playing the game, so it could be very well that you switch from AC South to AC North, for example

Yes, the loser gets a chance at promotion in the relegation round. I would be surprised if any other teams than the 4 bowl participants get promoted.

Sorry for "crashing" this thread, but im already relegated and are looking at what happens in 2.1 and 2.2, to know who to look out for next season.

you are always welcome here fummer
so just two short questions from me as i didnt really consider the possibility of a shot at relegation so far....

which teams are potential opponents from 1.1 ?
are the lhe last 4 automtically relegated (exchanged for the finalists from2.1 and 2.2) and the next 4 possible opponents for the losers of our divisional finals?

How about drafting when you get relegated?
Are the teams going up participating in draft from 2.1 or 1.1? and which pick do they get if its 1.1 draft?

You draft from the league you have just played in so if you get promoted you will draft from the same pile of players as Jelling Kings Lostregos etc.

Win Tuesday and you are up no matter what you will replace one of Kinaportalen Flyers, New York Icebirds, Watertown Buffalos or Tommerup Yoyos.

Lose and on Saturday you will play an away game at:- Packer Repeat, Tribal Hydra, San Francisco 49ers, Maracaibo BlackOils.

So you can only promote into one of five divisions.

Yeah I think realistically, the play-off would be extremely hard and its highly unlikely that both of us will go up.

Nice to know that either way we get to extend the season for another game.

My target was last season playoffs, this season win a playoff game and then next season promote so we are on schedule even if we lose.

Problem is that unless someone bots, the relegated side into D2 would be strong favourites next season so may be tricky going up next season.

Realistically I think you could see six sides promote this season from 2.1 and 2.2.

You already have four and two of the playoff sides have really struggled to come to terms with the new engine. The other two have started to put things right but have had really tough schedules also which means they dropped into the relegation playoffs.

Good luck to all sides trying to get up into 1.1. If you look at the nine teams who have come up over the past two seasons you will get an idea of the task that awaits. Only one has posted a winning record yet and none of them have made the post season

Thanks CarpeDM,
I am surprised that I won so smoothly. Now I am one win from promotion and I am convinced that there is no chance for me to be successful in the 1.1. league.. But I would be high in the next season's draft, if I got promoted this season, because teams in the 1.1. league are way better than mine.. :-)

But SteelCurtain will be a very tough opponent and I don't think that I am a favourite in this game.. We will see :-)
