I have tried to create an eternal Galaxy Rank list.
This includes all the normal league games (not PO games) since the season 2 inclusive of season 7 I've added all league wins and this had the following result. RankTeam Conf. Div. League Win 1 Heidelberg Hippos NC East 78 2 San Diego Blitzkrieg NC East 74 3 Bretzfeld Bandits AC East 70 3 Guiness Drinkers United NC North 70 3 Dresden Umbrella Sheeps NC North 70 6 Cameroon Turtles AC South 69 7 *Pawn*Stars* AC West 68 8 Tidewater Texans AC West 66 9 Franconia Foxes AC North 63 10 Deep Space Niners NC West 60 11 San Diego Hurricanes AC South 58 12 Grizzly Bears of bupti NC West 57 13 Cottonmouth AC East 54 14 Saarbruecken Orcs AC East 53 15 Rothes Claymores AC North 50 16 Bocian Squad AC West 41 17 Brjáluðu Vikingarnir NC East 38 18 Italian Lovers AC South 37 19 BobKats NC North 36 20 Rüsselsheim Razorbacks NC South 32 21 AFC Sparta BM NC West 31 22 K´Town Beers NC South 30 23 Frederiksberg Dreamers AC North 29 23 New Catalonia Fortuners NC East 29 25 Meteors AC West 20 26 Chicago Blues AC East 17 26 Surfin Bird NC South 17 28 Samuels Stallions AC South 16 29 Skytturnar AC North 15 29 Wallace Wildcats NC South 15 31 Toledo Vengeance NC South 14 32 Ligurian Stone Wolves AC South 13 33 Zarnovica NC West 11 34 SCARGES CATALANS AC North 10 35 Lviv Lions NC South 9 35 Red Star NC South 9 37 Southwood Knights AC East 8 37 Eqinox NC East 8 37 Baltimore Ravens NC West 8 40 Valencians Petardetes AC South 7 40 Saint Monarchs NC West 7 42 German Lions AC North 6 42 Ponte Press AC South 6 42 Metropolis Rockets NC North 6 42 T'Pau Vulcans NC North 6 42 Neone Inc NC South 6 47 Hustopece Crushers AC North 4 47 Ramdozers AC North 4 47 Escajos Brewers NC South 4 50 Cheshire Poor Boys NC North 3 50 Ramdozers NC South 3 50 Latvian Bengals NC West 3 53 San Diego Chargers AC North 2 53 Vanu Sovereignty AC North 2 53 chicago bears NC East 2 53 Green Bay Outlaws NC South 2 53 All Blacks NC South 2 58 Golly Gullables AC North 1 58 AFC Sparta BM NC East 1 58 Saarland University A.F.C NC North 1 58 Technicians AFC NC West 1 62 Texas Longhorns AC East 0 62 Sturm AC South 0 62 Straubing Siders NC North 0 |

Not sure...but don't you think you should get some bonus for playoff wins or maybe just give teams 5 additional wins for a league titles and 2 additional wins for a conference titles (not sure if those are appropriate values, just a suggestion). Just seems like you're omitting the most important part of the season.

nice work, but i see another little flaw....the number of possible wins, eg the number of seasons is missing

Steve, you're absolutely right. I've been thinking about it, but I am so far not experienced any meaningful solution.
I have filled the columns already in my Excel list, but not with values. I am there to consider whether it makes sense to create a second ranking include only the PO wins. How would that look like: Bowl Winner = 16 points Conference Winner = 10 points Winner Division Final = 5 points Winner WC game = 2 points Loser Game WC = 1 Point Now the question: This lead to a separate list, or these points (1 to 16) add to the victories of the regular season? Is there something for the NFL teams? How do they do that? |

When a team is relegated to the Galaxy 2.X, then of course the league games 2 are not considered. This list should receive an additional column "season played in Galaxy 1.1"? |

yes, think so. 10 victories made in 1 season are worth different then 2 seasons with 5 wins each

Then I am able to sort the Teams in a total ranking AND in a average ranking.
Okay I will add in the new columns "Saison played" and "average wins". with "average wins" = "total wins" / "Saison played". |

The current list is a bit flawed because it doesn't take into account post season results and teams like the Turtles (3x conference champion) and the DSN & Hurricanes (1x league champs) seemed to be a little low on the list, IMHO. Steve SD Blitz It's not only the post season results. Turtle and me came into the league one season later than most of the other big names, cause we opted out of the bot-flush back in the days. So a mix of average per season and post season results would be even better. But as Steve said: It gets more and more complicated... |
