I think Aufhausen Pioneers could be in trouble this year. Piskots are always up there and if Paradise and carry on their form from last season it'll be interesting. Plus Aston Rovers spunked a load of cash on those unreal players that were introduced into the TM so they'll be a very tough opponent imo... Yeah Hippos look solid. And gotta feel for Cyclones, think they made it up a season or two too early... Nah I'll prolly just tank again. Just not sure to what extend yet. Anyways quite happy with the draft. In a very poor draft pool I still got my first choice while picking last. Plus another top10 selection on which I still cant decide exactly where to play. The 80 million DL you got I wouldn't have spent more than 5-10 million on! |

It's time for me to give my Season 8 predictions, and I don't see much movement in power. I am predicting that 7 of the 8 division winners will be the same las last year.
AC East: Impossible not to see Solihull repeating with no real challenger emerging to threaten them. AC North: Here's my surprise winner. The Huddersfield Hippos have looked an impressive team before promotion, and this division is there for them to take at the first attempt. AC South: new name, same result. The Gotham City Bats fly away with the division title. AC West: anyone want to bet against the Fappers? Not me, the Mammoths are in financial trouble and Furpach aren't good enough. AC Wildcards: Devon Warriors and the Crushers won't face too much competition to wrap up the 2 WC places NC East: Another divisional crown for the Piskots. NC North: Leeds are safe for another year, but watch out Johnny P the Admirals will be closing soon! NC South: Naprzod march on again as the competition fail to close the gap NC West: Buffalo NC Wildcards: another tight race with Paradise, Aston, Panthers, Admirals, Tirol and RG III all likely to challenge. RG III will finally get the play-off place they deserve, and the Panthers will join them if they don't chuck it again (if they do, then it should be my Admirals that take advantage) Relegation: assuming nobody goes bot then the Cyclones are on an obvious choice having been promoted too soon. I will go for the Raccoons, Motor City and the Pioneers to join then based on their tough divisions. |

For me the two german teams Pioneers and Furpach are the sleepers. Aufhausen had a pretty good draft.
I expect, that the playbook will play a major role this season. Teams who can handle the new formations and the passrush right will have more success. |

Thats a good point actually, with the new formations only just out most teams won't have tested them properly, I know I haven't at least. So we could see some unexpected results in the first few games. I'll be playing some scrimmages over the next few days to hopefully get my team ready... |

Bugger that, I've just read the news and seen about some of the 'rebalancing'.
Are people really out to destroy the passing game in RZA? From day one I've tried to be different and build an offense based around the pass, in V1 of the engine that was not possible. In V2 people got scared because they had mostly dumped their cast-offs into the secondary, and now they were being burned by decent receivers. V3 gave the safeties more power, but also allowed the Dime to utterly stifle a passing attack, no matter how good the QB/WR combo, so we Gun users start running a bit more. And now it looks like things have been rebalanced - I sincerely hope that if the Dime has been given more steel against the run, there is also an equal tweak in the other direction to aid passing, because if not, I need to totally rethink my coaching setup, roster, and playbook. And all because of some 'advisors' with lazy defensive playbook, big mouths, and paranoia. Right, I'm off rallying, see you all sunday |
