SimKon's week 2 predictions:
Bavarian Bratwursts vs. Slavia Pankrác It seems the Bratwursts were able to keep the game open against the Bears for a long time. But still they were overmatched. same here. Pick: Slavia Pankrác Berlin Templar Knights vs. Guisborough Priors Bova will handle this with ease. Pick: Guisborough Priors Canco Hunters vs. Styrian Bears Canco is one of the toughest team to play against. Every game is close. Still, Buddy's Bears are even worse to play. His gameplanning is second to none. Pick: Styrian Bears Chelsea Nation vs. Joburg Brawlers oh my, oh my. Chelsea Nation was dominant last week. But call me sceptic, I want to see this kind of performance again before I jump on the bandwagon. Pick: Joburg Brawlers China Chimp vs. Quarry Bay Raiders The Chinese Wall needs to be at its best to stop the Raiders relentless attack. QBR doesn't lose games likes this, too much talent. Pick: Quarry Bay Raiders Hackney Marshes vs. SimKonville Fraggles In the 2.1 I once losta WC game against them and their Shotgun 4. I prepare for a real fight. Landru Athletics vs. London Bulldogs The Bulldogs surprised everyone with their win last week. Too bad Notsch doesn't do welcome gifts. Pick: Landru Athletics Packers vs. Lucentum Penguins Penguins were a bit rusty but they should be back at their top of the game in week 2. Packers are no match for chabi. Pick: Lucentum Penguins Sabercats Sopot vs. Steelers two teams that got torched in week 1. wide open game with one key matchup: Can the steelers stop Sabercats rushing attack? Pick: Sabercats Sopot Severnside Falcons vs. General Rodriguez Warriors no discussion here. Pick: General Rodriguez Warriors Superheroes on Vacation vs. Budapest Wolves The Superheroes were my upset pick last week. They disappointed me. But I stay committed. (and if they disappoint again: no more vacation for them) Pick: Superheroes on Vacation Sydney Convicts vs. Juan Renegades nobody wants to start 0-2 into the season. Pick: Juan Renegades Texas Roadrunners vs. South Georgia Red Beavers not a chance for the Beavers. sorry. Pick: Texas Roadrunners Vienna Falcons vs. Dolphins Pisa The Falcons had difficulties within their division last season. I don't see that happening again. They are on a quest this year. Pick: Vienna Falcons Wild Thangs vs. Totoras Patriots What happens when a dominating team meets an underachieving? Pick: Wild Thangs standbyme vs. Die Verdammten teams promoted from different divisions. standbyme was known for upsetting big guns like the Marshes and the Verdammten have an underrated roster. Pick: Die Verdammten |

One of the Convict's best wins tonight. Real heart-stopper of a game with a great 4th qtr by us. Good game roberto2104!

Week 2 rankings:
1. Hosh 13-3 (0.813) 1. wiesengrund 13-3 (0.813) 3. SimKon 9-6 (.600) 4. Bova 9-7 (.563) Overall standings 1. Hosh 13-3 (.813) nice entrance, but the samples size is half of what the other guys have. 2. Bova 25-7 (.791) Fell a bit since last week, but only way out was down... 3. wiesengrund 25-7 (.791) Solid week, but I overestimated Texas 4. SimKon 20-10 (.667) ... and he did too. |

I am kind of rebuilding my team, I sold my best WRs and CB to make room for the youngsters, they need to get experience. Don't think I'll win much games this season

I thought I had this one, but alas, 4 INT can really hold a team back . Good win Beavers

Week 3 predictions:
Knights vs. Convicts Knights have to find a way to stop the Convict's passing game. They also have to cure cancer. PICK: CONVICTS Wolves vs. Raiders Budapest's D and groundgame resurfaced last week, but Quarry is not ShoV. PICK: RAIDERS Pisa vs. Canco Canco is 8-4 all time in this divisional rivalry, but Pisa is on a 3-1 streak, including a sweep last year. With both teams coming of tough losses the previous week, this one is very important for the division. It might be close, but I think Pisa has their number. PICK: PISA Warriors vs. Verdammten Verdammten got their first win in 1.1 history last week, but the Warriors are a different caliber of opponent... PICK: WARRIORS Priors vs. Bears The Bears confirmed their grip on the division last season with a sweep of the second place Priors, and they do seem to be again pretty unstoppable this season. PICK: BEARS Brawlers vs. ShoV Both teams are very all-over-the-place: Last year the rookie 4-3 ShoV beat the 5-3 Brawlers on the road 23:3, and both teams took that momentum with them: With 4 weeks to play ShoV was in the playoffhunt at 7-5 and Joburg struggling at 5-7, when both teams at exact the same time switched their run again, Joburg winning their last four, and ShoV losing their last four, including a 24:3 loss in the regular season finale, at home, against Joburg. The next game should be a 25:3 win for ShoV again. PICK: SHOV Renegades vs. standbyme It's time for the Renegades to start renegading again. PICK: RENEGADES Athletics vs. China It's their first League mathcup, but in one SC and one CoC contest Landru's OL proved already to be a match for the Chinese Wall. And China's passing game might not be enough to exploit Athletic's weaknesses... PICK: ATHLETICS Bulldogs vs. S. Falcons Falcons are still waiting on their first points, while London already has a win. PICK: BULLDOGS Penguins vs. Marshes Hackney might have already closed the talent gap here, and just looking at the Fraggles games both teams played suggests that their are in betetr shape than the rebuilding Penguins. PICK: MARSHES Fraggles vs. Thangs Now, here's a rivalry in the making. The Fraggles lost last season's regular season mathcup on a crazy-weird coaching decision in the 4th quarter, and the Thangs came back to prove that that close game was a fluke in the playoffs: Hanging 34 points on a Top 5 Defense is no small feat, but the Fraggles love revenges and have the superior talent. PICK: FRAGGLES Slavia vs. Chelsea The unbeaten Chelsea D has played stellar so far, but they have not met guns like Slavia has so far. Slavia struggled against the Bratwursts, but I think they should be awake now. PICK: SLAVIA Red Beavers vs. Packers A split last season, with both teams looking hot right now. South Georgias running game should have a field day, then again the Packers should be able to shred that Secondary. My gut feeling says that the pass will win here. PICK: PACKERS Steelers vs. Bratwursts Bratwursts might be the best under-the-radar-team right now. PICK: BRATWURSTS Texas vs. V. Falcons Texas lost last week although they were the better team, 4 picks will do that. While they are better than their record, they still struggled to match with my guys over the history of this cool divisional rivalry. PICKS: FALCONS Patriots vs. Sopot It's time for Sopot to get that famous ground game going. PICK: SOPOT Last edited on 2013-07-18 06:55:37 by wiesengrund |
