With a whole ton of luck, I won the first match... But I got a big ole Hmmmm out of the deal...
I have 5 formations (3 run - 2 pass) on first and ten, and not a single run on first down... even though I have run and pass selected in the tactics for all downs... Law of averages should have gotten a few runs out of first and ten... Also, had 47 total plays.... 45 passes and 2 runs total for the game... Yeah that equates to 4 INT's... Lucky me that other guy gave back 3 of them... One of my INT's for TD to give me the 'W'... By the way only rushes were on 3rd and 1... Coincidentally, I only have two rushing options on 3rd and 1, and no pass options... In total I have 28 pass plays for down and distance in the playbook, and 23 rush plays for down and distance in the playbook, and still ended up with some kind of lopsided total... Lucky me...!!! Not necessarily a bug, since the plays appeared accurate based on my playbook, but the randomness leaned heavily on the pass... |

But having a 10% chance on pass as example doesn't mean that exactly 10% pass will be played. Much more it means there is a 10% chance on each RNG run to choose pass. This can create such things as seen. |

if you have several plays in the playbook for the same situation you will only ever use the 1 closest to the top of the list! the way the playbook works is in the game say you have the ball 1st and 10 on your own 36yard line, the engine then goes through your playbook from top to bottom until it finds a play that matches the game situation and then it runs it, if there is no playbook option that matches then the basic match orders are used for that situation. i hope this helps

You are exactly correct sir...
Further investigation reveals that each play selection was exactly the first listed play for any down and distance... This renders all other play options for particular down and distance pretty much useless... I guess this make the playbook pretty simple... Can delete 90% of it and only use specific situational plays with default for the rest... |
