My expectations of the 3-1-7 is you're going to give up yardage but when it's a completion over ten yards and past the sticks in most cases a tackle or two should need to be broken to get that yardage. Same for Dime with just a bit more success rate in completing those over 10 yard passes.
Completing most passes against these defenses should be like a handoff six or seven yards beyond the line of scrimmage. |
