SEA EAGLES WIN
+ + + great celebrations surrounding the finals + + + a lot of animals present to officially open the new stadium + + + no denying that the Sea Eagles from Sydney clearly best team + + + On the final game day of the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup, when the newly built site with the Ark-Stadium opened the gates for the first time, the building quickly filled with all sorts of animals from all over the world. Many heard about the games that were played in the last weeks to keep up the memories about the time on the ark all those centuries ago. An equal amount of guest hadn't heard about the games and just came to have a good time. As it turned out, the organizer of the games even secured a good time for the animals by giving false information about the location to all human visitors, making nearly all of them miss the fun. The seemingly endless possibilities of the new site were used in all it's varieties: The birds enjoyed the Organized Flying Activities (O.F.A.s), the waterpark leading up to the stadium saw a lot of visitors in a variety of shapes. Several locations made possible to learn about the game and the history, with a lot of animals becoming interested in the art of playing hand-egg. When the festivities reached their climax and the time of the kick-off came closer, all the teams that had participated in the first installment of the Animal Kingdom Cup were invited to enter the stadium in a Carnival of the Animals type of progression before they all built rows to welcome the two finalists to the game. The game itself was one-sided in the first half, with the Defense of the Sea Eagles picking the ball from the QB of the Prairie Dogs three times and the offense capitalizing on these picks with a 20:0-lead at halftime. The Prairie Dogs were able to use the prolonged halftime (when the Hedgehogs put on a show for the ages) for adjustments and managed to hold the opponent to 6 points in the second half. But offensively they came out of the gates too late, and even scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter was not enough. And so the Sea Eagles from Sydney take home the very first "Animal Kingdom"-Trophy, deservedly so. Congratulations! Celebrations after the game lasted until very late that night before the majority of the animals left. It was a joyous and overall friendly event that many will tell their friends and children about in hopefully an equal manner as they tell the stories about the time on the ark. And who knows: Maybe the new stadium will host another game in a not so distant future... if a second iteration of "Animal Kingdom" happens. In the meantime, the new inhabitants of the stadium will be content with the quiet and peaceful living that the ark provides. |
