lions1934, sorry to hear about your health issue, it sounded terrible, but I'm glad you seem to be on the rebound.
As for the quest to be elite, I'm sure you'll be one of the top teams in the AC again next season, and you'll get another shot at a bowl appearance.  |

It’s Superbowl-Tuesday
After an eventful season with surprises, fascinating games and sweat and tears two teams battle for the crown in the Admirals League today. And while the playoffs saw a few aspiring teams, in the end it’s the two teams that just at the beginning of this season relegated down from the ELITE only to return at the very end of S51. Ladies and Gentlemen, light the fireworks, start the jets and listen to the hymns of Italy and England, as everything is set for the Bowlgame: Devon Dog Soldiers @ Bracciano Lakers It’s the 12th time that these two teams meet in the league, with the Lakers leading the record by a whopping 8 wins. It didn’t take that long when the Lakers joined the Admirals league for them to begin winning against the Dog Soldiers, with the latter winning only as recently as their first encounter in S50 for the first time in a long time, when they both met in the ELITE. But while the Lakers may lead the win-record, the Dog Soldiers have one Superbowl more than their opponent, winning the most recent one of these two teams in S49. Of course, the Lakers are the heavy favorites to win this match-up, as they marched though Regular Season and Postseason without a loss. And they dominated their Championship-Opponent while the Dog Soldiers had to fight until the end. They managed to win in the fourth quarter, though, and the Lakers did give up 21 points in the same time… so keeping it close for the first three quarters may come handy for the men from England today.  Congratulations to the Bracciano Lakers for winning the Bowlgame
They outscored the opponent in every quarter but the fourth, winning 37:27. Crazy: They lost the turnover battle by 4:1 and still won. But the defense by the Lakers was very strong, espeacially early on, only allowing one FG and one TD in the first half and forcing the Dog Soldiers to punt 4 times overall... while not punting themselves the whole game

Good luck to both teams in the ELITE Thanks Chrill. I'll miss your commentaries very much. Therefore I wish you to join Elite next season, so we can enjoy your reports on the big stage. The match was a thriller... I always said that my QB was the weak point of the team this season and in the final his knees shaked violently... he is unexperienced and so it is understandable and fogiveable. Luckily the rest of the team recovered all the awful situations. A Kick-Off return TD just after the defensive TD caused by the interception was the demonstration that everyone played to support each other. Great performance by the first string RB he kept scoring despite the great defense of the Soldiers against the rushes. Honor to the Soldiers that made only one mistake in the first play of the first Quarter and then recovered to run toe to toe until the end. They will be another tough opponent next season for the Division. I will continue to keep a close eye on Admirals' rankings, as I always did. I enjoy looking at the newer teams to gain experience and become Elite contenders. I wish you all good luck for the Season 52 ! Last edited on 2023-05-24 11:34:40 by Yashin |

Thank you, Yashin, and thank you every other commentator in this forum.
Season 51 was our last season in the Admirals League since it's a bit more comfortable to follow the games live in the Dragons league that has a kick-off one hour earlier, resulting in a 10 p.m. kick-off in the summer time... which is a nice slot to watch before going to bed. Good luck to everyone in the Admirals, it was a great place to start to this game |
