Awesome game by the SEA LIONS against the AIR FORCE FALCONS by MajorHavoc. E T N Labbe, the CB we bought late last season, for the first time made his mark, picking the opposing QB 2 times. And with the offense NOT turning the ball over for a change, instead continuously driving down the field and score... with the exception of that 4th Down try on the opposing 9 Yard Line late in the 4th quarter, which was already corrected in the playbook right away
 ... this was an all around nice home win. Let's see if we're able to win the first game on the road on Saturday... at the Zombaes

I expected a loss... but not throw away a 21-3 lead! 3 interceptions, 2 of them when we had a chance to score a td and a field goal to tie... What a waste!

I'm sure our postseason rematch will be much closer like all of our other games. |

Tough, tough game today for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS, as they visit the Zombaes for a re-match of last seasons encounter on game day 2 when they came to us and we beat them 31:14. One of the 4 wonders that started our first foray into the Elite.
We were very lucky then, though, as the 17 points difference came from 2 Fumbles and 1 missed Field Goal by the Zombaes, something that, I'm sure, will not happen again today. And even though they did not start good into the season then, they turned it around after game day 6 and ended up winning the division. They did not start all that good this season, either... and it's game day 7 today. I guess I should have an extra pack of tissue handy this evening |

I have a curious playbook question. I have a defensive rule that has a different pass and run formation, but is expecting run. My opponent plays the same and only Big I run play in a quarter 19 times in a row. 18 times my passing formation is picked up and only on the 19th try run defense is set.
Is this possible because of how he played it in previous quarters or just a fluke? |

It couldn't be because of play in the first 3 quarters as he did not use the Big I Formation at all up until the 4th quarter, and even then just ran. Did you check if you don't have an "any"-rule somewhere for the 4th quarter to overrule the one you mentioned? I couldn't think of anything else which would lead to only pass defense against this obvious rushing attack...

What a game by the HAMBURG SEA LIONS squad today: fall behind 21:24 early in the 4th quarter, then recover a fumble, turn the ball over by throwing an interception 3 plays later, allow an interception return of 51 yards, still manage to hold the opponent to a fieldgoal and then march down the field to score a TD with only 35 seconds to go. PAT good, 28:27. End of game another 3 plays later.

Lady luck was on my side tonight, with a victory by 1 point, and 2 missed FG for the Falcons... So now, we're heading on to Hamburg to meet the sea lions on next game
