I agree with the reasons for following the Elite system of operation, I understand that fixing one thing can mess up two. Better to leave it as is.
I also understand that Pete has a life beyond RZA and that we cannot ask for constant improvements in the game, especially if they require a lot of time and effort.  |

We could close Elite and keep only the D1 League by regions. Close the CoC too. A new Elite-League-like competition with the best teams of the previous season may be created. Those games could be scheduled on the CoC match days starting at the very beginning of the season.
Just my (unpopular) idea.  |

If you ask me let it stay the way it is.
Rules are clear, two teams stay two teams go down. For an example let's talk about soccer and group with four teams where best two go to knockout round. In one group you can have 3 teams with 6 points and 1 with zero. In second group you can have 1 with 9 points and 3 with 2 points So in the first group one with 6 points will go home and in the second one team with 2 points will go further. In my humble opinion i could say that with the switching option in each season if a manager gets relegated to a different region, they can move back to their original region if they want to (of course, if there are spots available).
So the option of relegating the last 8 worst Elite teams and perhaps making the upper 8 teams play a relegation game against the Bowl losers from each region can be posible. But, this would mean for Pete to do some big changes that perhaps will require a lot of time because it will be a BIG CHANGE. From my point of view the game is working and has been working from Season 15 with this type of promotion/relegation to/from Elite and will work in the future to. |
