Always better to win and move up.

I will say that financially, the advantages between League 1 and the Elite League are not there. It's not like the Premier League and Championship in English soccer where the financial rewards are quite different.

It's only profitable if you achieve 8-8 or more wins. With a 4-12 record, it's never financially viable.

Stadium attendance is directly linked to the team's performance. If you win, the stadium fills up; if you lose, it empties. It's that simple.
A team in a league 1 full of bots can achieve a 16-0 record (with scores like 133-0) and have a full stadium. The same team in the Elite league, with a 3-13 record (and close matches), will face losses because people won't go to the stadium.

That's the "problem" (or not).

Great read this thread

I've considered starting again, but I've instead rebuilt my side after over-spending. Ive tried to build around young, intelligent, high talent players

Im unsure it will ever reach elite status, i dont seem to be able to get it to grow quick enough and tactically i have no idea

Ive been interested by the teams who drop to almost nothing wage wise (Ulero of the Konjarnik Towers would be an example) so they can build a massive war chest. Im not sure i could remain interested long enough to bomb that many seasons.

Then again i am 10 seasons in now and never got past the Wildcard Round

Aim is to get to Elite and try to stay there. Its possible - KMN Mandolorians started around the same time i did i believe.

It is, although the Mandos are quite a tough example to take as guide, as they are the second team to this particular manager. And he had A LOT of success with his first team already, so he had plenty experience coming in with this second team and I'd guess he had quite a few playbooks to get back to at hand.

I wrote the stuff, I am here since 2011, and usually I leave Elite in the same season I was entering it. So ...

Getting there is difficult, but staying there is the real challenge. There are a lot of moving parts and the managers in Elite are, well, Elite. The worst team in Elite can straight screw your season right up if you are not careful.

Good luck and hope to play you in Elite soon!!
