What is the formation for punts and kicks? I see the note at the bottom of the formations page in the manual, and also the Special Teams glossary. How many blockers, tacklers and gunners in the various line ups?

This:

STBL (this Unit is on the field to receive a Punt/Kick; both KR left and right should be those that are defined in the KR-section of the Depth Chart)
KR - FB - TE - OL - OL - OL - OL - OL - TE - FB - KR

STT (this Unit is on the field to Punt/Kick away; both G that are listed here are the same as in the G-section of the Depth Chart, same goes for the K)
G - CB - SF - LB - DL - K - DL - LB - SF - CB - G

Very interesting conversation, by the way, about this on the Coach-Podcast on Youtube, where they appoint the Mid-Season-Team including Special Teams - - >

My STBL depth chart is full of FB's and TE's with few O Lineman. (No one needs to see these guys run) Does the engine fill the OL spots from these guys on the top of the STBL depth chart or does it have to be an OL?

My understanding is that the engine fills the Special Teams Depth Chart randomly. The above mentioned personnel was taught to me by another manager, and I think that it is the set-up that a) mostly meets the required players on the field and b) is nearest to the actual personnel on a football field IRL in those situations.

Seems legit to me, too. They are the most suited players for the task

I don't see why they shouldn't, though. Sure, SPE is no A-Skill for OL, but when you have some fast players for that position on your team they should play on Special Teams, too. It's not like IRL that they are drastically built different than CB or WR, it's just about numbers... and those are as good for an OL as they are for the G they are trying to block.

I am confused after what I just saw in a friendly game, more precise the 4th quarter. What happened was a long punt return, but the players involved are strange.

My approach to special teams is, like mentioned above, this:

wrote:
STBL (this Unit is on the field to receive a Punt/Kick; both KR left and right should be those that are defined in the KR-section of the Depth Chart)
KR - FB - TE - OL - OL - OL - OL - OL - TE - FB - KR

STT (this Unit is on the field to Punt/Kick away; both G that are listed here are the same as in the G-section of the Depth Chart, same goes for the K)
G - CB - SF - LB - DL - K - DL - LB - SF - CB - G

On this particular punt return the occuring events read like this, though:

2:31 Janusz Hämmisegger (P) punts the ball from own 29 for 43, Braulio Vidal (KR/C) is returning the ball, Andreas Wolf (G/R) missed the tackle,Dino Moller (TE/R) missed the tackle,Monroe Riera (TE/L) missed the tackle,Tep Samenem (OT/L) missed the tackle,Héctor Bethea (OT/R) missed the tackle, tackled by Janusz Hämmisegger (P), this was a 37 yards return

That suggests, at least to me, that the Punter is part of the STBL-Unit... although not entirely, since the G that's mentioned is part of STT, not STBL. Furthermore it makes me wonder if Punts and Kicks are treated differently, like Punts being, unlike kickoffs, executed by the STBL-Unit instead of the STT-Unit... or a mixture of those two units
