Hello everyone, I would like to ask some rookie quistion. I am still learning the game, and my current focus is on my roster, specifically which players should be on what position. I am trying to follow the rookie guide, but its not too detailed when it comes to physical skills. It says for all positions, that they need at least 2 and sometimes all 3 physicals. Thats nice, but I assume that even if the player benefits from all 3 physicals, they dont have the same impact. One is probably more important than the others.
So I would like to ask you, if you could give me some quick guide for every position physicals please? Something like "QB - STR > SPE > AGI"... So if I have for example two offensive players (1: 50 SPE, 45 STR; 2: 45 SPE, 50 STR), I could say alright, speed is a bit more important than strength for RB, so 1 will be RB, and 2 will become TE, because he needs strength a bit more than his speed... even though they could probably both fit well into both positions, one way would probably be better than the other one... I hope you understand what I mean Thanks for any help... or direction to somewhere where this is already posted |

In my guide it is roughly mentioned in the chapter about sorting the initial roster.
The thing is, more or less all players do gain from AGI and AGI is a physical skill you have to treat like a regular skill, since you pay for it. So let's focus on SPE and STR first. As general rule I would say, you like to have both above 40 and 45 on the more important physical, if possible. Clear seperator would be '>' not so clear or better have the also 45 in both would be '>='. Exception might be OL and K/P for SPE. That would be then QB SPE>=STR FB SPE = STR RB SPE > STR WR SPE > STR TE SPE >= STR OL STR > SPE DL STR >= SPE or STR > SPE LB SPE >= STR CB/SF SPE >=STR K/P STR >SPE AGI has to be trained as physical, paid as regular skill and caps as physical. Most of the time, when you reach the cap of AGI, the player is already long on your roster. If he caps lower than the max level you want to train as regular skill (because of the wage) you have to decide, whether to cut him or not. Most have AGI > 40 anyway so not too bad. |

From what I've learned:
QB, CB, FS: SPE, AGI, STR OL: STR, AGI, SPE LB, DE: SPE, STR, AGI P, K: STR, AGI, SPE Every other position I'm not so sure, too, and will follow this thread carefully |

Please be aware, that different managers do have different opinions on the priority and values.
I know managers who do not like to have as example OL player with less than 48+ as STR, while I settle with 45+. Physicals are important on the game, but not the ultimate difference maker. So from my view, don't dive too hard into this, it might just lead to frustration, since the market just don't have so many 50/50 guys you want on the team to have. |

I totally agree, but I would add that different things are important in different positions. Let's take the defensive line, a DT in my roster must have more strength than speed. But with a DE I'd rather have more speed, because I see that as important. For example, the lineman who has the most sacks per play on my roster unfortunately has pretty low strength, but excellent speed. (and a helpful trait ^^) That's why you can have different priorities at some positions. |

He made more sacks against bot opponents or worse teams, but also against equally strong teams or better ones. For example, last season he made one against my main rival Xu Da (because the team is in the same division and we're both from Asia, he's my declared main rival ^^). He's also got some in Friendly Cup games (equal), but those don't count in the statistics. But I also have to say that he's only 21 years old and I'm just testing him. He's a draftee where I had hoped that the strength wouldn't be red capped, but it was. But I kept him to test him out. His skills aren't that high yet either, so my other DE has much better skills and is better against stronger opponents. But I'm curious to see what it will look like in 2 or 3 seasons when his skills are better trained. Last edited on 2025-01-17 16:27:11 by Luprilla |

Take a look in Elite statistical leaders just for league games and tell me when you find a DL on sack list? 😉 Tip: both sacks came against team soon to be a bot To be clear, I like my DL to be fast, but they MUST be strong at least 49. |
