Game Day 8, and we're enjoying our bye week. As mentioned it does come at an inopportune time as we're just starting to roll, but be it as it may. We're playing the Vancouver Corsairs in a Friendly Match and look what the competition in the NC West is doing.
It's another week of match-ups with the NC East and the AC North. The Pizti Beltzak are the third team from our division to play the bot-Mustangs, most likely winning this one. The Ukies have to visit the Stone Mountain Hawks 2, while the schedule also foresees the Bobbers visiting the king of the NC conference, the KMN Mandalorians. While the latter are probably the toughest nuts to crack, all teams in the NC East have shown to be quite comfortable playing teams from the west. And so it could happen that after this game day all the teams in our fine division are at 3 wins 
The divisional duels on the back-end of the schedule will, as always, be huge  |

With 12 minutes left we were down by 17 points and it looked like another heartless performance. But then somehow an all-out shotgun mode turned into a quick TD, our opponent had a backup QB take a few snaps and he threw a pick in their half which gave us another 7, and at the very end 3-and-out on defense and yet one more shotgun drive gave us the victory with 2 minutes left.
We'll call it a miracle and move on. At this point in time, we are ahead in our division by 1 game only, but also we are the only team that hasn't play a bot team yet, so things are not too bad so far. |
