Howdy and thanks in advance for reading.

Assumptions/ Ideas
I hate bots. When 7 of the 13 League games involve Bots=Boring. League play is about facing the same team 2x a year and learning to love/hate those games. Looking at you Corsairs.

We have the ability to pick and choose our division every year. The end of year realignment lets us make the Sea Devils look anyway we wish.

hmpf22 is a genius in trying to recruit people to his division. We need to do this. This game needs more folks. Unfortunately 200 is about the size right now. There aren't enough new players sticking around and the 200 here aren't enough to fill the all the leagues.

The soccer system of many tiered leagues is very cool. Relegation/promotion and a game to decide it is the best. This game had that when the Division 2 leagues were around. One of my proudest moments was winning my way out of a fairly competitive Dragons 2.2 in the relegation game.

I believe there is a programming quirk that doesn't change the out of conference scheduling. So the same division plays the same division every year. If we had 2 divisions of Bots, we could have them play each other.
Sure would be cool if we could do something with this quirk without bothering Pete in the least.

Take these 5 assumptions/ideas, sprinkle with some magical thinking aids I had lying around and out pops this idea.

The Sea Devils play each year for which teams would be in which division. The procedure being the same in each conference. The East would be the premier Division (only cuz it's listed first on the League page). The North the Second division and so on. Win the North? You are playing a friendly/relegation game against the 4th place/weakest team in the East. Best team moves up. Bots fall to the West. New players would have a sense that they are moving up as they join in the West and have a really easy schedule. Every year the elite League returnees would go to the East. Chances are that the east would have been the home of the newly minted Elite player anyway. So a spot is avalable. Remember that we can manually move ourselves around. No work for Pete.

Please tell me what you think. The Michigan Weasel Traders are all for more competition. This might be the way to do it. More games against evenly matched opponents, easy environment for new players, no work for Pete.
