1:51 Jiang Lao (P) punts the ball from own 23 for 46, Fred Black (KR/C) is returning the ball, tackled by Jiang Lao (P), this was a 6 yards return
Not saying that it's impossible, but just so very very unlikely .... the Punter gets 40 yards upfield (chasing his own punt) and also tackles the KR. Would love to see this in real life ![]() ![]() |

OK, but is this a bug in terms of coding?

Would love to see this in real life ![]() ![]() maybe it was a long return in ways of time taken to run it back, as if the runner changed the side of the field. Or maybe he muffed the ball and there was a scramble for it. Uncommon, but possible. |

That's how I've read it, too. Though it's in the Bugs thread, so I'm not sure.

a lot of side to side running by the returner instead of going up field with the ball, perhaps, though the punter really neglected playing contain

That sounds like the Australian Punters in the NFL of which according to legends were told to stay behind and not chase the returner as they are natual to do.
![]() When I was a coach for a youth team our Punter was also the starting MLB and one of the fastest on the roster, so it was quite often he did boom the punt and was the 1st on the return to make him pay. ![]() |
