Because your 2nd QB is not on that level. You might even get 3 seasons out of your starter, because once you did pay the offer, the retirement odds are reset, so next season he will again think about it and the odds are the same as for every player that age and he might consider to not retire. I think it is heavily depended on what your shortterm goal for this season and the next few seasons are. If your are rebuilding anyway, you might want him gone, so your new starter gets more exp. If you want to compete, you need that old horse. |

Keep him Damion.
At least until your other QB2 is ready. But also consider the fact that he may play 3 or 4 more seasons, but he can also decide to play only 2.
