Do you guys have someone you think of as a rival in Fire? Not a guy you hate or anything, but a team that you measure success by? You know, you beat this team and regardless of anything else, it's been a good season? Who is it for you?
My first "rival" was Franzlandia. The Gladiatori ran me into the ground for quite a long time when I started. I am really excited to see them making deep playoff runs again. I am hopeful we get to meet on the field again some day soon!  |

I really can't say I have any rivalries yet. There's alot of teams here that are hard to beat. I guess there are two teams thst I try really hard to stay ahead of, which is not easy. One of course is in my division, Salopian. I have the advantage, but he is getting stronger and stronger. A little dip in my performance and he wraps up division.
The second is out of division, but moving up fast even though he doesn't see that way, that's the Reapers. I believe he doesn't see all the bright sides of what he has done and spends too much energy on the small setbacks that everyone has. He is not too be taken lightly. |

A couple of good games tomorrow to kick off Season 60!
The Fargo Knights are headed to Italy to take on Gladiatori Roma. This is a great matchup and whoever wins will have a strong leg up in the two-team race for the division championship. I think the edge goes to the Gladiatori with an incredible roster, but never count the Knights out. Salopian Flame is headed to the Prison yard to take on Champ Chompers. The Flame have dramatically improved over the last couple of seasons, narrowly missing the playoffs last season. They will need every win this season to keep pace with the Braska Bangers again. The Chompers and Aberthaw Dolphins will be duking it out for the AC North. Interesting fact, these two have been the AC wildcard teams every season since 56. One of them will be crowned AC North division champion this season, breaking that streak. Good luck to everyone once again! Let's go bang some heads!

Hi, honestly if I may say so... I hate you all...
 jokes aside I don't think I feel a heated rivalry with any of you. I've been in this league since the first season and in the past I felt a strong rivalry against managers that I don't know if they still exist with other teams or in other leagues: the Maykop Dynamos and the Mighty Magpies who regularly beat me and I also want to mention another historic team, the Bonaval Acorns who have been here for a long time. Today, after several seasons of ups and downs, I'm focusing not so much on the results, but rather on the management and building a franchise that can compete for a long time at the highest levels with regularity... If I really have to say it, I think that the team with which a fairly clear rivalry has now been built is the Fargo Knights... who I beat today  I think with a lot of luck, and in any case even when I meet BoaTek and his Niceville Norseman a spark always lights up... But now the level of this game is really high so I consider you all rivals to beat ^_^. I don't feel a rivalry yet, but I can see where one can come to play down the road. There are two teams that stand out to me as a franchise just as the way things have gone down.
1) Panthers. That is one of the most difficult teams I tend to play almost yearly. The one time I beat them, I literally jumped out of my chair and yelled. I didn't think it could happen, and later that season, in the playoffs, the Panthers reminded me why I didn't think it would happen. Now, I find myself secretly cheering for them to loose every week. But they don't usually get the memo. 2) Sloths. This is for two main reasons.. firstly, I got them to join up from another game and watched him blossom rather quickly into a very solid team. I fully expected this with how well he has done in the other game we play. But the second, and more important reason, feeds off of the first. The very first time Sloths faced the Reapers, first time ever, and the Reapers had the edge roster wise, and the Sloths, with default playbook in hand, beat us. I never let that go in the back of my head and now hold my breath any time we play because the games seem to always be very close and competitive. But in the sense of a true rivalry, I do not think we have one yet. P.S. I have anxiety and tend to be very hard on myself when I fail. So know that probably 65% of my negative reactions are over reactions that once I smoke a bowl I make fun of myself for having. But thank you husk for the kind words. |
