Right now again is roster re-shuffle period with the drafties being pushed on the market and several players getting the info to clear their locker because a younger guy will take their place.

All fine and normal.

But I did see and read from some users, that they are seeking for certain type of players or skill sets, which are rare to find and then often too expensive, since rare.

What can be found on the market are often players who do have several checks on such skills sets, but lack the checks on all, hence they are ignored.

INT and TW can't be trained, so those are fix, sure, but for several skills it seems just a bit of training would make a TM bust to a hit, if only someone would train them further.

The problem is
- the physicals seen on the market are a gamble, unless their are already very high. There is no way to see, whether a physical skill is capped or close to cap, unless you sign him or in case of a sale from another manager, that guy gives the current state away.
- that player costs wage, often in 5 figure ballpark, and there is no guarantee to get that spend money back when that guy might hit the market again. With the current pricing on the market, chances are very high you will not make a profit, if any.
- and roster space is limited, so even if you like to train some to a better version of itself and you do accept the risk, at 70 there is a limit, which of course incluses all players you want to build your own team with

So bottom line is, there is no real benefit to get such raw diamonds and build them a bit better.

But on the other hand there is the demand for some of those, so what can be done to not waste the talent on the market, because there were not trained further or capped?

I'm writing this, because most managers do have a mature roster and might be able to enhance some of the players and are willing to do so, if the benefit would not be only negative financial results and eventually frustration.

So you would like something like a practice squad in the game? Might be interesting to have that. You buy a player, put him in PS with much lower salary and see what his potential might be. Would also need some rules to stop abusing of this, but it could be cool

That sounds like an option, but so far such ideas were not implemented and the suggestions did not go to anywhere.

I would love such stuff, and to limit the abuse, to shift a player from PS to regular roster a high fee has to be paid, for example.
