It‘s not the fear many would cheat, it‘s enough to have some cheat and spoil the fun for many.
In the past there were some heavy cases and some minor ones. The heavy ones did hurt a lot, from my point of view. |

Haven't done it since joining again in whatever is on my team page. Strange I can't see it but you all can. Anyway back to my confession. I can't say I caused any real pain as we were always in different regions, and I think league levels.  I also never stuck around more than 2 or 3 seasons. But there are advantages to having 2 squads. The main advantages I found were for the second team to be able to accumulate players a bit faster from the parent team and not having to pay a lvl 20 scout. But, trying to shift a player from the parent team through the transfer market worked 50% of the time tops. The TM works and finds quality. I wasn't around long enough to transfer players up to the parent squad but I expect much of the same results. It's important to realize that this happens now if you have too many 20yo in your YA. Turn the extra into free agents and bid on them. The Weasel Traders found that Canadian team in our division trying to do this many seasons ago.
Important to note that I never had a need for the HR Dept in my earlier times playing this great game. Now that I do, I see a huge opportunity to cheat players contracts with a second team. Recently, the Weasel Traders have been trying to unload some players on the TM. Good players, just not playing on the season 61 team. That one guaranteed bid on the transfer market from the junior team would take a lot of valuable season ending contract money off the table for the senior team. Recent evidence of my players not receiving a single bid should prove I'm not "doubling up" now. In summary, I am a huge Proponent of having second teams. It is so much fun for me to build a squad from the ground up and would love to do it again. I would make it a 1 nation team like many I admire. But, I do understand the costs and you all need to as well. |

If there is a way of cheating, someone will use it and it may disadvantage others. keep it as is.

I think that this view is missing the point because it’s not about whether someone can cheat the proposed system - of course they can but they can just as easily cheat the current system so that’s not a significant point (my opinion). One additional team isn’t enough to make a significant impact so they would need to set up multiple email accounts and teams and so on to disguise the situation. It’s technically easy for anyone who wants to go that route, though why one would go to all that effort is beyond me. What I see this as being about when all is said and done is whether we wish to have a planned route to second teams for coaches who want to do that, and as a benefit to them and everyone else, we would 1:1 replace the blight of Bot teams in the process. |

Just forget all this second account thing and cheating etc. Make the second team part of the original account. Its even used in other manager games, so its tested aproach and it works just fine. BTW it could also be part of the supporter package, so only supporters could have second team.
