Seeing the stats for each position, there have been some surprising players:
WHOS RISING (and you can comment on everything I say too if u have an opinion): Derrick Taylor (QB) not surprising that this player is doing well, he is a 5-star QB from Stone Mountain Hawks, it's not that they are rising, they are making the team rise. The HighTowers were one of the worst teams in the Sea Devils, and now they are the scariest. Watch out, Constanta Ravens! Tadas Petkevicius (QB) Is Riga and Tadas cooking right now? I mean, it's not easy to win against someone who is known to be tough, and also Riga was one of the worst teams as well. Now they might also be scary, too. Kerry Stroud (RB) Rome Torresina has a possible award winning RB. He had a great game with rushing yards unbeatable, crushing the defense as the carried the ball. If Rome keeps this up, it's possible we can see a future Sea Devils star. Kazimieras Marcinkevicius (RB) Again, who is letting Riga cook? For someone with a ridiculously long name, He and Tadas could compete with St Pauli and...well maybe not Hamburg...sorry Baltic Dogs and Sea Lions. Santeri Viinamäki (FB) ![]() Weird Stats and players: Cecil Harris (3 total TD, only about 8 rushing yards with 3 rush attempts) and Edgaras Balandis...just him...actually two of him. WHY ARE THERE TWO EDGARAS BALANDIS?! ONE A 22 YO LB FROM RIGA, ANOTHER A 33 YO QB FROM MANTA RAYS. WHAT IS GOING ON?! (ahem)...let's move on. WHOS FALLING: Brent Cloud (QB) Ok, I know he had a great passing game..kind of...but 4 INTs? I predict him to stay with the Storm because letting him go would be kind of silly (just work on his vision and passing), but it is reasonable why he is falling. I am kind of concerned for the Storm this season. Ciprian Cozac (RB) To be honest..and I think other people might think this too...I kind of expected more than 145 total so far this season. Knowing that Ciprian is a S59 Best Sea Devils RB Recipient, and I do feel like Cozac can do better later in the season, but I expected Cozac to be at least a top 5 RB. 1 TD is respectable, at least so far, but still. (Also congrats in your induction into the SDHOF Radu! ![]() Sea Lions...just the Sea Lions. I can't shake off the Sea Lions losing to Riga..it's...not a good look for the Sea Lions Sea Devils Debut. I think they can do better, but right now if they can't improve, this is one bumpy road for the team that has "Sea" in it's name. |

Management are equally concerned at Brent Cloud’s performances. Javier Alonso has been signed to the QB1 position to provide some competition. Alonso threw at a 74% completion rate for 306 yards in his debut. To date there has been no interest shown in Brent so he will take QB2 & be given time to improve. Perhaps one day he will take the reins from Alonso. Or perhaps first round draftee Marion White will improve enough to jump over Cloud to QB1 in which case this may be a disappointing end of career for Cloud.

This week in WHOS RISING and WHOS FALLING:
WHOS RISING: Almost all of the QBs in the NC West Kyle Cary and Johnny Chisolm are currently the best QB duo in the Sea Devils right now, its still pretty cold in Vancouver right now, but they are both heating up. In Michigan, better call in a lightning warning because Terence Bolt is becoming 'electrifying'. with 5 TD and 825 yards in league games (with 1 INT), he is showing that he can lead the Weasels to not a 'Shocking' division lead (sorry had to make the puns). And then there is Haseri Jampaka...who is letting him cook? for someone who is a S60 Rookie and didn't become a starter until the last 3 weeks, he has 836 yards (leads the league), and 5 TD (with 2 INT). 3 of the 4 QBs are cooking in the NC West...well..we will see what the Minotaurs do...but butch's prediction of them going 8-8 is starting to slow down. The Entire Social Distance Runners Offense and Defense There is nothing more predictable than the Social Distance Runners doing good...with dominant victories..they could go 16-0...unless...someone becomes the hero and flaws with their undefeated record..that has happened before..but as of now..Troy Law and his team are becoming masterminds. The Copenhagen Rushing Duo of Nikita Lesjak (FB) and Danie Brussouw (RB). Despite the Record, Copenhagen knows its way of rushing, as Nikita Lesjak has 125 league rushing yards and 0 TD, while Danie Brussouw has 116 rushing yards and 1 TD. Despite the lack of stats, it's still one of the best in the league. Weird Stats and Players. None...but i'm still keeping an eye on both Edgaras Balandis..yes there are still two. WHOS FALLING: Geva Marimovitch (QB) It's hard to say the Cardinals can do good when their starter is a 1.5 star QB. I mean...Im not being mean at all..but this is kind of what I expected and I feel like the Cardinals are going to become last season's Downriver Seals. Stefan Meyer (QB) and the entire Baltic Dogs. I feel like the Sea Lions are going to become the superior Hamburg team this season. It's really disappointing that the Baltic Dogs are becoming one of the punching bad teams, I actually felt like for some weeks when he joined the Sea Devils that he was going to cause trouble for some teams. Now, at a low overall and probably a low record, I might as well say this again. I feel like the Baltic Dogs are going to become last season's Downriver Seals. Carlos Falcone (RB) For being the Black Knights starter, these are not the stats I expected to see. with 82 rush yards and 0 Rush TDs, it seems like the rushing game will not be effective for the Knights. If the knights want to win their division, Carlos is not helping. He needs to spark soon or else he might hit TM soon. |

Let's not forget that he is also old, but he gets the job done. You will see that at the end of the season he will be in the TOP 5 ![]() |

Fun fact: Riga has had Hamburg city rights for 800 years. Riga is more of a benchmark for the Sea Lions.
