SEA DEVILS MATCH OF THE WEEK
In the misty bays of Denmark, a group of Viking warriors gathered around the fire, listening to the tales of their chieftain, Tarvan. He spoke of a land far to the south, where the sun shone bright and the seas teemed with creatures unlike any they had ever seen. Among these creatures were the mighty Manta Rays, said to be as wide as a longhouse and as gentle as a summer breeze. Tarvan's words sparked a sense of adventure in the hearts of the Vikings. They had heard stories of the Manta Rays' massive size and their ability to leap from the waters, and they were determined to hunt them. The Vikings set out on their longships, braving the open sea and the unknown dangers that lay ahead. After many moons at sea, the Vikings finally arrived in the waters off the coast of Australia. As they sailed closer to the shore, they spotted the Manta Rays gliding effortlessly through the crystal-clear waters. The Vikings were awestruck by the sheer size and majesty of these creatures. With a fierce battle cry, the Vikings launched their attack, harpooning the Manta Rays with their trusty spears. But to their surprise, the Manta Rays did not fight back. Instead, they seemed to be guiding the Vikings through the waters, as if showing them the secrets of the deep. As the Vikings hunted the Manta Rays, they began to feel a sense of reverence for these creatures. They realized that the Manta Rays were not just beasts to be conquered, but living beings that deserved respect and admiration. One of the Vikings, a young warrior named Olaf, felt a deep connection to the Manta Rays. He saw in them a symbol of the power and mystery of the ocean, and he began to question the wisdom of hunting them. Olaf's doubts were met with skepticism by the other Vikings, but he couldn't shake the feeling that they were doing something wrong. As the Vikings continued their hunt, they encountered a group of Australians who had been watching them from the shore. The Aussies were surprised to see the Vikings hunting the Manta Rays, and they explained to them the importance of these creatures in their culture. The Vikings listened intently, and for the first time, they began to see the Manta Rays not just as prey, but as a part of the delicate balance of the ecosystem. They realized that their actions had consequences, and that they had a responsibility to respect the natural world. In the end, the Vikings decided to spare the Manta Rays and instead, they formed an alliance with the Australians. Together, they worked to protect the Manta Rays and their habitat, and the Vikings learned a valuable lesson about the importance of living in harmony with nature. From that day on, the Vikings and the Australians shared a deep respect for the ocean and its creatures, and the legend of the Manta Rays lived on as a reminder of the power of compassion and understanding. |

We will be watching for Norse code in their play calls and locking up anything of value for the duration of the raid. Some say The Stig is looking forward to getting some looting and pillaging tips. We all welcome the drinking buddies.
