I ran into something that I think could improve how I use the Notepad on RedZoneAction. I often write down quick thoughts, team adjustments, or reminders for upcoming matchups in there. A few days ago, I tried pasting a link to a guide I like to reference during games—but it didn’t turn into a clickable link. It just sat there as plain text. That felt a bit limiting. Wouldn’t it make sense to allow basic HTML links, like simple anchor tags that open in a new tab?
I’m not talking about adding full HTML editing or formatting tools. Just the ability for the system to detect a basic URL or a tag like <a href="...">link</a> and turn it into a clickable link. It would be especially helpful for people like me who use the notepad not only for writing stuff, but for keeping useful reference links close at hand. I sometimes save URLs to forum posts, image breakdowns, or training tips, and being able to click them directly would save a lot of time and back-and-forth. One of the things that got me thinking about this was when I used an online notepad tool on another site. It was a basic web tool with no sign-up and no extras, but it still managed to recognize links. For those who haven’t used one, an online notepad is basically a browser-based space where users can create notes easily online without needing to install anything. It’s fast, simple, and built for jotting down thoughts quickly. That small touch of recognizing and activating links made the experience more fluid. It’s what gave me the idea to ask about the same in RedZoneAction’s Notepad. I really enjoy the current notepad and its simplicity, so I’m not suggesting anything that would complicate it or change the design. Just wondering if anyone else finds it annoying that URLs need to be copied manually instead of just clicking. Even something as simple as allowing links to open in a new tab could make planning and organizing much easier. Is this something that could be considered? Or maybe someone already found a workaround I missed? I’d appreciate hearing other users’ thoughts about this. |

The thing with the current "notepad" is, that it is not html display. it is a formfield, so called textarea. There is no way to make links in there clickable. It would need a complete redesign to allow for such a change.
I was not aware the notepad is in use ... at all. you learn something new every day... |

My own research indicates that the usefulness of notepads of all kinds grows exponentially following the first instance of "I've learned something new..wait, hadn't I learned that one before ?"
