Can a contract be renewed during its span?
I mean, I have contracts ending season 61. Can I negotiate those again this year to make them ending season 62? Or do I have to wait next season? Last edited on 2025-05-29 05:50:25 by fabry |

You can renew a contract only in the last year. If a contract ends this season you can renew it. Else you have to wait. |

I have done this.. I bought a free agent or a player from transfer. Sometimes the contract button in HRDept, can allow you to resign to a contract

I’m not sure why I would do this. If I have a longer term contract it’s because the player’s contract will go up a lot over time and I don’t want to pay that higher wage until I have to. Renegotiating during the contract all I would be doing is paying this penalty too soon. Players that are at the top of what I am willing to pay (my team can afford) are all on 1 year contracts.
