Just to learn something: why do you try to turn national players into foreign ones?

I am also interested in the answer to Pete's question above.
Myself, I am Pole not American but when I created my account I picked the nationality of the team to the one which in my head was the most "footballic" nationality. No particular reason, I just thought it would feel more realistic to me and realism is one of the major things I look forward to in the games I have played. After all, realism is one of the main reasons why 3 point kick is called "a field goal", in RZA as well, and not, I don't know, say - "a 3-pointer" ![]() By no means it's a better reason than proudly picking your own country's flag, even if there is no football at all in your country (in Poland there is, although much in the shadow of that other football xd ). In fact I am happy many of you pick your own, because thanks to that I have found out how strong grid-iron football is in reality in the countries like Germany or the UK. I hesitated before the final click, until I read the rules again to make sure I am not breaking any rules (there is a number of managers where you are supposed to pick the nationality in agreement with your own nationality or the country where you're located - probably because the game admins want player nationalities more or less spread, and that - probably because of the National Teams competitions being a part of their manager). I didn't know, when picking the team nationality, that it'll be the decisive factor in the flags "flown" by my team's players - it would have been one more reason to pick the US (as long as not breaking the rules - see above). So if that's in some part related to what your reasons are, @Tvllo - you're not the only one ![]() Mind you - if the game was on the battlefield not on the football field, my flag would be definitely white-and-red. But I no longer enjoy the battlefields, even as a fantasy. |

You could then move your team to the US, too. This way, you would achieve your goal.

I was in world bowl I in London watching London Monarchs vs Barcelona Dragons in 1991. Bot teams had all US players apart one or two. I don't see the problem in having US players in my franchise. Atm my QB is from Malta,I prefer to change his nationality otherwise I stay like this ![]() |

![]() thanks for sharing I take the answer this way - I have had a good holiday or work in a country rather than own, so thought it good to have a team from the area I enjoyed - { also family } - - BUt not EVERYONE will enjoy the country they are from, so may take another to make them happy!! on this matter I signed a guy from free agent, I did change name, but the Country stayed the same - so the button that you have a tick in , click out - can change name but not Country? is that right? |
