Either a loophole, or may be he is one of those rare ones who can have their limit higher than 50? I don't remember where, but I am pretty sure Pete has mentioned it somewhere (I've never had one of those though, myself).

Yes, in rare cases a player can have 50.x skill value, but the caps were always full numbers, so 50 in this case. I think the special case here is, that the skill value of this player was not red capped, but close and the reduction happens in same value on skill and cap. Hence the skill stayed close to the cap and the cap itself is reduced from 50 to 48.5. But that's my theory / conclusion and only the next training(s) will show the truth. The case you described would be vice versa. Skill at 50.x, cap at 50, the reduction would bring the player down to whatever, but if the theory of equal reduction fits, the cap would be also reducted and still be below the actual skill. |
