The decision was made, by the way, that the HAMBURG SEA LIONS will stay in the Sea Devils league for the foreseeable future.

We came over from the Dragons league with the plan to get interesting competition for 2 seasons, and then go back to Dragons to push for a return to the Elite league NC West. A division that we for quite some time called home in this game.

That would lead, though, to us leaving after this season. And we’d return to a league where half of the scheduled match-ups are bot-games. We'd almost automatically get a playoff spot, but then lose in the first round because we’d have absolutely no playing routine by this point in the season.

That’s what we really enjoy in this here league. Playing against so many great teams is challenging in all the right ways, so we decided to stay… and push for the Elite NC East instead

The Minnesota Silver Foxes are asking (just for fun) the community and the league (you guys) which song they should choose to play when the Silver Foxes get a T

Mr.Brightside - The Killers

Ride - twenty one pilots

and Zero - Imagine Dragons

Thanks, again just for fun!

SEA DEVILS MATCH OF THE WEEK

This SDMOTW could be an Elite matchup and it was an Elite matchup last season when the mystics defeated the Wrexham Exiles 24:50.

SDHOF member Ace is well known in this region with several Sea Devils Bowl wins in the last seasons. The Exiles are new in our circle happy to get one of the last spots in this wonderful league. I googled Wrexham. Apparently, the place really does exist. It even has its own Wikipedia article. Famous people from the city are always known for having left Wrexham to become famous elsewhere. It started with Elihu Yale, who laid the foundation for an Ivory League college football team on another continent. So the name "Exiles" doesn't seem inappropriate.

The Mystics started the season 7-0, which isn't unusual for them. Today's opponent fared differently. Wrexham has been hard hit in this region, currently 4-3. Tonight, it could be 4-4. If you win the division that way, that's fine. In the race for the two wildcard spots, four losses after Week 9 would be a major handicap.

The Mystics want to win. The Exiles have to win. We have two OVR 80+ teams. That's Sea Devils football!

Wrexham is in Wales. Both are real places.

I've been to Wales only once, to watch Sheffield Wednesday at the playoff final in 2004 I think it was. This was in Cardiff

Wrexham is most famous currently for the series "Welcome to Wrexham".
