Ughh, haha, losses this season have been by 6, 5, 1, and 2 points. Guess it just happens sometimes the tide doesn't go your way.

Bleakardor, I think you might have a real good chance today. Best of luck! ![]() ![]() Except that I can't scout as I still can't figure out how to find a teams game history. I even burned my "Match of the year" option on this game and it wasn't even close. Last edited on 2025-10-15 21:06:44 by Bleakardor |

🏈 Game of the Week: Kirky 44’s (26) @ Braska Bangers 09 (17)
In what was billed as the clash of the titans — two undefeated squads, both playing at an elite level — only one would walk away perfect. And this week, Kirky 44’s proved they’re the real deal, grinding out a disciplined 26–17 road victory over Braska Bangers 09 in front of a massive crowd of 135,971. 🔹 First Half: Tactical Punches The Bangers struck first midway through the opening quarter, with Achmed Hadad finding Lionel Marty on a tight 2-yard TD pass. But Kirky quickly responded — and kept responding. Lyle MacGillivray’s leg was busy early, drilling 34- and 41-yard field goals before Keir MacFarlane powered through a blitz for a 6-yard touchdown run. At halftime, Kirky led 16-10, controlling possession and pace. 🔹 Second Half: Defense and Discipline The 44’s defense — led by Hugh Muir (10 tackles, 1 INT) and Ron Schneider (forced and recovered fumble) — clamped down hard, forcing two key turnovers and limiting Braska to just one third-quarter first down. Offensively, Ulrick Toussaint found Maxwell Leslie for a short 2-yard TD strike to extend the lead to 23–10. 🔹 Late Push by the Bangers To their credit, Braska kept fighting. Ernestas Janonis punched in a late 4-yard rushing score with six minutes left, trimming the lead to nine. But Kirky’s veteran poise and MacGillivray’s fourth field goal of the day (23 yards) iced it for good. 🔹 Key Performers Kirky 44’s 🏆 QB Ulrick Toussaint: 30/49, 280 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT WR Kyle Paisley: 15 catches, 154 yds — unstoppable in space K Lyle MacGillivray: 4/4 FG, 2/2 XP — Mr. Reliable LB Hugh Muir: 10 tackles, 1 INT, 2 TFL RB Banning Napier: 15 carries, 67 yds Braska Bangers 09 QB Achmed Hadad: 19/25, 179 yds, 1 TD RB Ernestas Janonis: 8 carries, 47 yds, 1 TD WR Martin Horan: 5 catches, 50 yds CB Jackie Garrett: 12 tackles — defensive anchor all day 🔹 By the Numbers Total Yards: Kirky 391 – Braska 317 Third Down Conversions: Kirky 58% – Braska 36% Turnovers: Braska 3 – Kirky 1 Time of Possession: Kirky 32:41 – Braska 27:19 🔹 Final Take Kirky 44’s showed why they belong atop the standings — a complete, disciplined effort featuring sharp QB play, efficient clock management, and a defense that forced mistakes at the right times. Braska, while suffering their first loss, proved they can hang with anyone — but they’ll need better red zone execution to reclaim the top spot. |

🏈 Game of the Week Recap
Sydney Sloths (16) @ Bonaval Acorns (17) Attendance: 119,232 Kickoff: October 25, 2025 — 15:00 (League Play) ⚡ The Thriller in Bonaval The Bonaval Acorns edged out the visiting Sydney Sloths in a dramatic 17–16 victory that came down to the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Both teams traded momentum all afternoon in what felt like a playoff preview, with defenses bending but rarely breaking. The Sloths drew first blood with an early field goal and carried a 3–0 lead through most of the first quarter. But Bonaval found its rhythm in the second, capitalizing on a sustained 12-play, 54-yard drive capped by a short touchdown plunge from Josep Miranda, taking a 10–3 halftime advantage. 🔄 Back-and-Forth Second Half The Sloths clawed back in the third with another field goal and then took a 16–10 lead midway through the fourth on a deep 80-yard bomb from Heath Sexton to Lorenzo Terry, who blew past the secondary for his only touchdown of the day. Terry’s 5 catches for 113 yards earned him Offensive MVP honors, including that highlight-reel play that silenced the 119,000-plus home fans. But Bonaval refused to fold. Quarterback Osvaldo Carrasco responded with a poised 74-yard drive late in the fourth, capped by a short touchdown run from Miranda—his second of the game—to regain the lead 17–16 with just over two minutes remaining. Sydney’s last-ditch effort stalled just past midfield after Amancio Bravo came up huge for the Acorns defense, snagging a key interception that sealed the win. Bravo finished with six tackles and the game-clinching pick, earning Defensive MVP honors. 📊 Key Performers Player Team Stat Highlights Lorenzo Terry (WR) Sydney 5 receptions, 113 yards, 1 TD (80-yard longest) Heath Sexton (QB) Sydney 16/25, 217 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT Oisín Maguire (RB) Sydney 24 carries, 75 yards Josep Miranda (RB) Bonaval 15 carries, 50 yards, 2 rushing TDs Osvaldo Carrasco (QB) Bonaval 24/31, 192 yards, 1 TD, 103.1 rating Amancio Bravo (LB) Bonaval 6 tackles, 1 INT (Defensive MVP) 🧱 Defensive Battle Highlights Both defenses showed grit under pressure. The Sloths’ front seven, led by Nick London (9 tackles, 4 for loss) and Sebastian Nedved (1 forced fumble, 1 recovery), held Bonaval to just 3.3 yards per rush. But it was Bonaval’s ability to generate timely turnovers—two interceptions and a late fumble recovery—that ultimately swung the balance. 🕹️ Turning Points 2nd Quarter – Miranda’s First TD: Bonaval’s 12-play drive ended with a score and shifted momentum. 4th Quarter – Terry’s Deep Strike: Sexton’s 80-yard TD gave Sydney temporary control. Final Minutes – Bravo’s INT: The defensive anchor ended Sydney’s comeback hopes and locked in the Acorns’ one-point win. 🏆 Final Thoughts In a packed stadium roaring with tension, the Bonaval Acorns proved their mettle with clutch execution and discipline down the stretch. The Sloths, meanwhile, will leave frustrated but motivated—knowing they out-gained the Acorns through the air yet couldn’t finish when it mattered most. Final Score: Bonaval Acorns 17 – Sydney Sloths 16 Record Implications: Bonaval rises with a statement home win; Sydney’s narrow loss keeps them hungry heading into next week. |
