Sounds like Sea Devils is now the SEC of RZA. I'm enjoying bottom feeding for now, getting some younger guys some experience, and hoping to build a fresh start in the draft to compete next season. But I still won't be all in next season as I prob won't have a good enough team to do more than fight for a fringe playoff spot. Still busy IRL but now that I am trying to stay away from the game I keep finding myself going to look at how things are going. When I wanted to compete, I never found time. This makes no damned sense! Is there a curse with this game that makes it hard to take a break or something?

The question is, what is a successful season? Making a playoff game is a good season. Winning a playoff game is a very good season. Theoretically, you win the conference every 16 seasons, probably less often. Just missing the playoffs is average, meaning 50% of managers perform worse. Radu once said division titles don't count. I disagree. Example: The NFL produces 31 losers every year and I love it.
The Jaws poster won't be featured as a SDMOTW image, but I didn't want to deprive you of it. The SDMOTW for Saturday has been written, and the accompanying image is epic. You can look forward to it. Loyal readers of my column already know which game it will be. |
