When a FG is attempted you always need to add the 7 yards for where the holder sets the ball and also add 10 more yards for the goal posts being at the end of the end zone.
Thats how your kick from the 36 becomes a 53 yard attempt. And props to you! You were the closest to me losing this season.

Rangers 20-51 Dayton Triangles.
Rangers 595 yards Triangles 266 yards... 7 interceptions from a 4.5* QB. 3 went back for TDs and another was at the Triangles' 1 yard line. Was this just bad luck or is there something I am missing? Congrats to trebbie and the Triangles defense! |

So how did I do. Let’s look at the results so far …
I had the right teams in the playoffs due to the critical games going sufficiently as predicted, which is a good start. Wildcard Round Falkonians with a very tight win over the Jeremies which I would have leaned towards as I put them in that order in the mid strength group. Rats had a good win over Cabbage which was expected. Bulldozer beating the Redbirds I didn’t expect, their first win over a playoff team coming in the playoffs, well done there. Triangles with a good win over Rangers which I wouldn’t have predicted, though with the massive number of turnovers in their season game made this very unpredictable. If anyone could keep the ball, they’d probably win! The 7-0 interception ratio was indeed the cause of Rangers demise. Last edited on 2025-11-28 08:09:43 by JohnHW |

Divisional and Conference games didn’t produced any surprises so it’s on to the final game which is an interesting one.
The Bandits have cruised through the year with a strong defence against the run and generally allowing very few TD. Coupled with their high scoring pass biassed (but run capable) attack which rarely gives up the ball they are a tough nut to crack. They averaged +3.5TD per game for those I analysed. The Fire have a more even offensive approach and another excellent defence that appears good against the pass, though whether it can slow the Bandits we shall see. +2.8TD average. Neither runs an aggressive defence so who will bend and who will break? |
