Let's talk about half of the NC East
Copenhagen Chargers The Chargers were founded in S58. Five seasons along and this team should be sitting on a pile of cash and powering up for the playoffs. That didn't happen. A financial crises sidelined this team and the damage from this teams almost bankruptcy is still evident. Have you ever seen a team with no head coach but 3 AC's still doing their job? All three coaches are level 50 so I'm not sure if they even help without a Head Coach. I would advise fireing these last coaches. Many teams would love to see these 3 on the Coaches market. With only 39 guys on the roster, the Chargers are still in very, very lean and mean mode. S63 first round pick QB Simon Falkesgaard is the Chargers present and future at only 19. I doubt if there are any othe teenager starting QB's in all of RZA much less Sea Devils. The only QB on the roster, Simon has his hands full here with very little help from his teammates. There are a total of zero four star players to help the teenager. The days of spending millions on the TM to fill around him are long gone. There has been only one transfer in since the trouble in S60 and he came in at only $100K. The Youth academy seems pretty full and those 5 20yo players are needed on the squad ASAP. The Nest, the Chargers home stadium seems to be slowly creeping toward full capacity. Only 18k seats short at this writing. That was the Chargers downfall before. Spending money like they had a fully built out stadium. Hopefully, we will see the full stadium before season 64. I wish tarvan all the best and I hope the turn around starts to bear fruit soon. The Downriver Seals So, do you remember when I talked about how the Bandalona Cheetahs were doing a single nationality roster for Catalonia? Kummo is doing the same thing here for Finland. The only foreigners on the roster are past draft picks which Kummo has decided not to rename/renationalize. Again mad props for building a squad this way. It just takes more time. BTW there should be a cup for single nationality teams. “The Ethnically Pure Trophy” should NOT be its name. lol. The players look pretty good and the YA is full of guys whose names I will never be able to pronounce properly. But, I have questions. Why are there only 2 wr's. That's got to be tough. Yup, there it is in the game report. Catches by the LB and K. To their credit they each made their play. Hell, the LB Kauppinen got 5 yac. Maybe he has a future? To get back to serious topics, this is a young team. 23.6 average age. I say commit to that youth. Those 3.5 star, 28 yo players that you have, get rid of them for the following reasons. First, they are not going to be around in 5 seasons when your team is hitting their stride. Second, they are stealing playing time from younger players that will be better than they are at 28. Third, I did say better players. Any players over 27 should be 4 or 4.5 star rated. These guys don't have the time to get that good. Don't even get me started on the 29yo 3.5 star DL. The Seals head coach Maria Spangler, has won “Hottest Sea Devils Coach” for 2 years running now. The New Zealand beauty and her signature fur coat hve been distracting people on the sidelines for quite a while now. Did you see the cut video of her doing all those postgame handshakes? Super awkward by almost every other male coach. She is backed up by 4 Ac's (77OL/76DL/76LB/74CB) all hewing close to her 77CP. Still plenty of CP space for more coaches. I do worry that 3 of the AC's are in ther 50's while Maria still looks ravishing at 39. I just don't like going through a coaching turnover so soon for those near retirement AC's.
