SEA DEVILS MATCH OF THE WEEK
For some managers, choosing the SDMOTW is a complete mystery. My first look is always at the AC. Often, the big games there are overshadowed by slightly bigger games in the NC. Therefore, you should take every opportunity to pick an AC-internal game. Secondly, you always have to exercise restraint. Of course, my own game is always the most important of the week for me. So I always try to find some reason not to pick the legendary St Pauli Packers. You know, because of omens and all that. Then it happens that you get smashed in your own end zone, don't score seven points yourself, but instead concede a total of nine points due to the subsequent field position. This 16-point difference turns an easy 3-score win into a one-point loss. Hopelessly outmatched opponents suddenly look evenly matched, even though they aren't. I can't take that risk today. Therefore, I'm resorting to an old trick: Vancouver @ Weasels. I'd like to mention the city of Vancouver. It was once one of the most vibrant Sea Devils cities, home to the Corsairs and the management of the Romanian-based Sailors. As of this week, Vancouver has completely disappeared from the Sea Devils map. A real shame. So, what do we have here? Two teams still in the race for the playoff spots. Roughly speaking, there are three possible scenarios. A) Michipicoten wins the game and the division. Zaleaping goes on vacation in Cancun. B) Gaylord wins the game. Both teams will then be tied and will compete against Minnesotans in Week 17 for the best PD. The division winner will then go to the playoffs. However, the second-place team here could also still make the playoffs if C) the Manta Rays lose against St. Pauli and the CONVICTS, which is a possibility. Here too, we need to keep an eye on the tie-breaker PD. The Corsairs are en route. If there are no problems with snow or ICE, they should arrive in da Za Leap Zone in one hour. ![]() Source: https://i.imgur.com/wSqbqUr.jpeg |
