Week 15 Review and Overreactions
Nailed it in the previews so let's look back with commentary in italics. Gonna be a Game: 
Cincinnati Bungals 16vs.37 PATAGONIA RAPTORS Can Bungals get their second against division rival RAPTORS? SDMOTW in my book. Bungals MLB Korn Somethingoranother had 2 picks in the first 2 minutes of the game. The fact that they only got 6 points from those picks was telling. The offense has had no time to jell. TC and PC stink. Heck, Bungal Center Colton Adcock joined the team late last night and I'm sure he was surprised to be playing 71 of the Bungals offensive snaps. Raptors throw down 529yards. Good Job to both teams 
Might be a Game: 
Black Knights 21vs.51 Wrexham Exiles Wrexham too strong for resurgent Black Knights.True Devon Warriors 23vs.21 Gaylord Zaleaping This one is going to be close. Gaylord needs the W and they suck in those situations. Truer words have not been spoken. HAMBURG SEA LIONS 24vs.21 Yorkshire Sea-Owls The name change will make all the difference for Yorkshire. lol True. I feel a kinship with butchpt6 here for the frustration we both feel about our squads. Minnesota Silver Foxes 21vs. 44 Bergen Bruisers Bergen should win, but MSF has been on a heater. True, but there was no heat. Northern Storm 33vs. 30 Manta Rays Should be Rays all the way but division games are weird. TRUE! In OT! Rome Centvrions 15 vs. 52 London Silverbacks Rome is playing for pride here as their playoff hopes have ended. No pride here. None of the not going to be a games were. The Penultimate Week Preview
Lots of solid games this week, shame none really matter for the playoffs. Gonna Be a Game
Manta Rays vs. St Pauli Packers SDMOTW for sure. Early playoff matchup here. The Packers have not thrown away their hopes for the division throne. Michipicoten Corsairs vs. Gaylord Zaleaping Nothing to see here. PATAGONIA RAPTORS vs. Badalona Cheetahs I love this matchup. Very even, could go either way. Seattle Sea-Reapers vs. Northern Storm Storm just beat Rays, you think they are scared of the Reapers? Might be a Game:
Copenhagen Chargers vs. Downriver Seals My money is with the Seals and Maria here. Glasgow Tigers vs. Wrexham Exiles Great teams but kinda meaningless game for both. Konjarnik HighTowers vs. Black Knights KHT are so strong this season. London Silverbacks vs. Devon Warriors Also kinda meaningless. Minnesota Minotaurs vs. Yorkshire Sea-Owls How hurtful was the Sea-Owl end of year sale? Rome Centvrions vs.Terrifying Hamsters I think Hamsters have this but I like a 4-6-6 category look so they got bumped up. Not Going to be a Game: 
Constanta Sailors vs. Baltimore Blue Crabs Wait til you see what the Sailorbots do next week. dERBENT CONVICTS vs. Cincinnati Bungals too soon HAMBURG SEA LIONS vs. Fuenlabrada Falcons This could get ugly with HSL needing PD for division race. Kraków Conquerors vs. blue tigers Stupid 1 minute managers. Rome Torresina vs. The Utah Brawlers Stupid 1 minute managers. Social Distance Runners vs. Minnesota Silver Foxes Not yet MSF. |

They still have a second bot-game coming up, while we have to play the Sea-Reapers… so ending up with the same record will probably lead to the Packers winning the North. |

Playoffs
Great games
Devon Warriors win 27:23 over London Silverbacks. 14:13 Warriors at half, thanks to Mlb Suaini Tovo's pick 6. The "Monster of Sierraleone got another pick in Q3 to power the Warriors in Q3. The Silverbacks Q4 exciting comeback fell short. Great game by both teams.
Manta Rays shocked 26:35 by the Michipicoten Corsairs. 545 yards of total offense. 6 of 9 on third down for the Canadians. This offense can move the ball through the air like no other. The D stepped up as well, holding the Manta Rays to only 2 touchdowns. Not too shabby. Great game by the Canadians.
St. Pauli Packers take down the Krakow Conquerors 33:30 with seconds left on the score board! A 23 yard heave by Darko Shuster to Arnim Meyer ended this titanic battle. The in retrospect SDMOTW. Nice job by both squads.
Not gonna be a game:
Wrexham Exiles crush bot 94:6. This makes me sad. |
