What a lucky win!
The clock on the scoreboard shows 2:42 in the 4th quarter. The Black Panthers have just taken a 24-23 lead. The offensive coordinator is talking to his players on the sideline. Some are hanging their heads. But first, the kickoff after the touchdown has to be executed. Arnoldo Cunningham (K) of the Black Panthers kicks the ball to the Miners' 1-yard line. Hans-Jörg Krüger (KR/R) catches the ball and starts his return run. 23 seconds later, Cunningham stops him on his way to the end zone. 42 yards to the Black Panthers' end zone. This return has rekindled the Miners' offensive spirit. A few additional words from Head Coach Bonifacy Skrabak ignite the flame of hope. With heads held high, the Miners' offensive team, led by QB Cyriaque Ndayisaha, takes to the field. Two plays later, two incomplete passes. The game seems lost. The third pass comes, but it's only 9 yards. What now? Head Coach Bonifacy Skrabak has to make a decision. He opts for a field goal attempt. Dale Knott (K) stands at the 40-yard line to kick. 50 yards to go. And his faith is rewarded; he scores. Now the Miners lead 26-24. With 1:18 left on the clock, the Black Panthers start from their own 20-yard line. Six plays later, the clock has gone to 0:00, and the Black Panthers have only advanced to the Miners' 49-yard line. A lucky win for the Miners. As usual, a hard-fought and exciting game. Good game, dpierce. |

Snappers get burned by 2 big plays, gaining the Cobras enough points to keep the Snappers from winning. And even with all that, a crucial stop by the Cobras defense on 4th down did end all hopes for a comeback with a few ticks left on the clock. Los Angeles Chargers @ Trnje The Chargers got into the playoffs by upsetting the Lions and now they have to play Trnje, which they fought on season final for the 2nd this seaosn, again. And the game is a pillow fight at best. Chargers are building the team and are honestly not in shape for a playoff match. And Trnje is again in financial trouble and have their team gutted by forced roster cuts, while it seems the manager is not doing something activly to pamper the impact. By all odds should Trnje get the win, but here you never know. Regardless the winner will get crushed in the next round. Trnje win. 
Turnovers and a mixed up roster did not help Trnje to win that game here, even the Chargers did field a gazillion RBs and did blitz like hell. Joe Namath did keep his word and the Chargers won. Paxtang Black Panthers @ Lutetia Chaotic Smile The Panthers are a way tougher built team than Chaotic Smile and only a famous RZA booboo can save the home team from elimination. Black Panthers win.
This game became quite close, thanks to 3 missed field goals from the Panthers. Trnava Saints @ Birmingham Iron Iron is a developing team, which should not be in the playoffs, but because of lacking competition inside the division, they got the crown and now they get a kick on the jewels on wildcard day. Saints win.
A clear win by the Saints against a weaker opponent. And with that happend in the wildcard round we get for the divisional playoffs in 3 out of 4 games actual divisional rematches! 2026-02-14 17:00 Divisional Playoff Cottbus Cobras @ Suchdol Minors The series this season was 1-1, but overall of course the Minors as more matured team and home team is favored. I expect a quite close game. Minors win. What a difference the place makes! I guess home field matters. Bad start, but then my defense buckled down and Cobras got little for most of the game. Now let's see about getting back to Elite!  |

Congratulations to the Minors, great game. Unfortunately, my quarterback underperformed, and the defense couldn’t bail it out anymore at some point. Good luck in the Conference Championship!

For whatever reason did the Minors offense explode or the Cobras defense collapse, resulting in a difference of almost 400 yards in favor of the Minors and a blowout win. Los Angeles Chargers @ Leverkusen Leopards The exception to the rematch rule this season. Actually I never played the team under the current ownership and I expect a clear win by my team. Leopards win.
Here turnovers did kill any scoring chances the Chargers had and the Leopards did cash in. Paxtang Black Panthers @ Ruhrpott Miners Oh boy, it was almost clear they would meet at some point again. The series is 1-1 this season and the Miners are now the home team. Can go any way, will likely depend on turnovers at the right moment. In games like this did the Panthers mostly not win, so .... Miners win.
A very close game, always on the edge. Turnovers by the Miners did keep the Panthers in the game and if not for for a great returning team fielding 26.8 per carry, over 100 yards more than the Panthers and a return over half the field when needed most, the Panthers would have gone away with a win. But the Miners had a chance to kick a game winning field goal and stopped the last offense drive to win the game. Trnava Saints @ Black Dragons And this will be a deciding game inside the AC. No hard feeling to the Minors, but I think one of the two teams here will likely hit the Superbowl. With the Dragons being a bit toucher than the Saints and a 2-0 series for then during the season, I pick the Dragons again. Black Dragons win.
Turnovers did destroy any effort the Saints made to stay in the game and at the end did the favorite win in a convincing way. Good luck to you all! OK, for the Conference Championships we have for the 1st time since season 58 matchups between each #1 vs #2. (Minors/Leopards and Blue Devils/Miners) In both did the #1 win at that time. 2026-02-17 17:00 Conference Championship Black Dragons @ Suchdol Minors No easy game of course, but I see here the Dragons in front. The last time the teams met was in season 61 in Elite with a split result. But the Minors went down that season, while Dragons stayed elite for another season. And that strength is not really gone. The Dragons and Minors have no Supercup games left, so all on that game here. Not sure how much the home field will bring. I expect a close one. Black Dragons win. Ruhrpott Miners @ Leverkusen Leopards Last time meeting was season 59, so quite some time. During that season my team did lose in regular season against the Miners, but went on to win the league, went to Elite, came down, went to Elite again and now we are here. Miners did somehow did not make a deep playoff run in all that time. This season, the Miners do field a stronger team than mine, but have to play on the road. Despite no real desire to return to elite, I have also no desire to lose a game, so we will go all in, even the team is at the start of a big makeover. Also a close game expected and I think my team has a case, even any team can win here. Supercup can make a huge difference, with the Miners playing a tough one on Monday, while my team has no match at all. Leopards win. |
